What is your most memorable wedding?
My own - of course! But my most favourite clients wedding memories are the ones where I have fixed things that have gone wrong, for example a last minute step in for bridal hair and makeup (I am also qualified and insured in cosmetic makeup application) Adjusting a disjointed tiara, or a mad dash to buy a replacement pair of shoes! These are the little details that can make a big difference to confidence, relief, and prevention of panic.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Adaptable, Astute, Creative, Thoughtful and Optimistic
What about your business are you most proud of?
My reviews make me proud, just knowing that people appreciate those little things
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
From my own wedding - If you have your own young children, I would recommend that you hire a nanny or a babysitter to help with them. Family mean well and some families may be perfectly fine, but your family are your guests and if your little one is feeling run down and clingy- a welcome distraction with a trusted other non guest adult really helps! Especially when it comes to their bedtime, everyone else can continue to celebrate with you.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love seeing the different creative ways that people incorporate relatives and friends who have passed away who would have been at the wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Email - date, location, times, guest numbers, type of catering/ entertainment thoughts. We can go through all the current aspects to find out how I can help, so that I can give you a fixed quote. You can add extra services at a later date if you wish and additional fees for these are included in your welcome pack so you can make informed decisions. Once a quote has been offered and a rough breakdown of services has been laid out, contracts will be signed and 25% deposit made. Further 50% is due 8 weeks before the wedding and the balance due the day prior to the wedding date.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
A Gothic themed wedding that wasn't too dark
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
My go to response is always to attempt to fix it or substitute. By getting to know and understand the couple's likes, dislikes and the overall vision my professional judgement in case of any arising problems ensures stress free weddings.
