Absolutely perfect!

Thanks so much for your brilliant work on our ceremony Andrea - absolutely perfect! Everyone said how brilliant it was and a few people said it was the nicest wedding ceremony they’d ever been to! Must have been the Dumbledore quote that did it! I’ve written a review - would 100% recommend you!

It was all perfect

Dear Andrea, We just wanted to write to thank you for everything you did in the lead up to, and on our wedding day. As you know, we were unable to meet before the wedding day, to discuss who we were and what we would have liked from the ceremony, and despite this you did such a fantastic job of getting to know us via email to the point we felt comfortable with you before ...and throughout the ceremony. The ceremony itself was perfect. You words were heartfelt and we felt you conducted things perfectly, making us feel completely at ease on what can be a fairly nerve-wracking day. Jen and I would like to then express our gratitude for helping to make our day as special as it was. We would happily give our recommendation to anyone looking for a celebrant. Thanks again, it was all perfect. Mike and Jen Holman"

FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

My first couple were joyous and had been married a year. They had got married in the bride's hometown in Australia and they wanted a ceremony for all of his family in the UK. The ceremony was high up on a cliff side hotel, outdoors, and we could see and hear the waves crashing! The groom was, adorably, really nervous, and there was a real buzz as I moved around the terrace. As we finished the ceremony, the wind blew and away went the bride's veil! All the groomsmen jumped to retrieve it, successfully, and the sound of laughter and love rang out as I left them all to enjoy their day.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed, Professional, Sincere, Joyful, Warm

What about your business are you most proud of?

So proud that my reputation has enabled my business to grow so that I can now be wholly self-employed.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Have a back up plan! (and trust in your celebrant)

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

An Anglo/Italian wedding, we incorporated a wine ceremony and it was just a touching moment as the couple shared the glass. Also, at one wedding, as they arrived, all the guests wrote down a wish for the couple and then they were collected in a basket and presented to the couple at the end of the ceremony.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I meet with the couple initially, Zoom or skype and decide what kind of ceremony they are looking for. I will send a simple questionnaire which gives me a building block for the ceremony. Hopefully we will have at least one face to face meeting. As I write the ceremony, I will email/phone them for further details to complete the ceremony. I will then send a draft and more often than not, send a second draft with an addition as I often will think of something special we can include. Before the big day, I make sure we all know where we should be at what time and if it is a large wedding, make sure that all the bridesmaids and groomsmen know what is expected of them, how they're going to enter etc. On the day, I will find the bride and groom and let them know I'm there and then introduce myself to the wedding party and ensure everyone is in the right place at the right time.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

I guess it is the venues that have been unusual - a cliff top, a yurt, and even someone's kitchen when the weather let us down - that was interesting to choreograph on the spot, but it was wonderful!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

By putting their trust in me to lead the ceremony. I let the couple know that I am there, in plenty of time, and make sure that everyone involved in the ceremony knows exactly when and where they will be needed.

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

When the groom says his vows - I always have the tissues at the ready.. usually for the groom. They really let their emotions come through and I love that!
