Karen was our celebrant for our wedding in May 2017. We got married on the NYMR in the guard van on a journey from Grosmont to Pickering and Karen did an amazing job we have train themed readings and even the bunting falling on Karen didn't faze her. We weren't the easiest couple when it came to arranging meetings to discuss the big day but again Karen dealt with this in a calm professional manner even when we said the day was being filmed as part of a CH5 documentary on the railway. Karen was amazing to work with from our first Skype meeting to the day of our wedding. Living overseas I was concerned about how smoothly the planning of the wedding would be but Karen put us at ease from the start. She’s a true professional who knows the ins and outs of the biggest and best day of your life which did put me at ease. She also brings humour to her ceremonies which helps everyone enjoy the experience even more!! I had so many of my wedding guests comment on how much they enjoyed our ceremony. I couldn’t recommend Karen more!!

Couldn’t fault Karen one bit from the moment we met her. She came to our Home, felt like I’d known her for ages, she was just so easy to talk to. She wrote our vows. My & my husband were abit drunk when we put these together. By the ceremony everyone was laughing with us. She made our day so fun and relaxed, my niece was my bridesmaid. She was that impressed she also got Karen to marry her & her husband. Could not fault her one bit. Every time I’ve seen her since she makes me smile as she’s such a joy to talk to. Xx

I worked alongside Karen during a quirky outside wedding in Newton Aycliffe. I loved the way she worked, her presentation was excellent, everybody loved her. And being the photographer I was pleased that she was also looking after my interests as well and made sure I had enough room for the best angles. Heartily recommended!

Karen worked with my daughter and future son-in-law to design a truly personal wedding service that everyone enjoyed. There were roles for all the family as part of the service, with readings and hand tying, which made it a truly memorable occasion.

All of our guests said Karen's ceremony was the most beautiful, natural and personal ceremony they've ever attended.

Karen seems to have been a part of Danby Castle ever since we started offering weddings here! I was so pleased when we were introduced to each other and she is our 'goto' person for personalised ceremonies. Whether you want it to replicate a registrars wedding (you may have married in secret with no one knowing!) or a totally individual ceremony with singing and animals and everything else you could possibly want, then Karen is the person to call.
