What is your most memorable wedding?
Most of my weddings take place in a barn, field or garden - all of which have been amazing - but due to the change in location, my most memorable one was a spring wedding in an iconic historical building, on a tiny island, right in the middle of Stockholm. Breathtaking.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Country-loving, problem-solving, fun, approachable, detail-oriented
What about your business are you most proud of?
I get to make a living from doing something I love!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Amazing weddings are less about the stuff, and more about the people. Focus on the things that will make your guests extremely happy - food, drink and brilliant entertainment - and you will have the most amazing wedding too.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Cards on each guest's place setting, that included a personalised thank you to that guest, a fun talking-point about the guest next to them, their menu and their name. All printed in a font produced especially for the wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
For Full Planning, we have an initial discovery call followed by a tailored proposal. From there, we have a serious in-depth chat! About all your likes (and dislikes!) your style, your values...so I can set to work to plan a wedding that is utterly and completely 'you'.
For Wedding Day Management, I would normally come onboard after the location has been decided. I schedule an initial meeting, to get a good idea of requirements, and the 'vibe' we're aiming for, and also check what progress has been made so far. After that, I give as much support as required via email and phone, in terms of supplier recommendations, and other practical aspects of the wedding.
After a final meeting a few weeks before the wedding, I would be on-hand to organise the set-up the day before the wedding (if possible) and then I would do the full event management on the day, being your liaison between caterer and other suppliers, and making sure everything runs perfectly on the day. Without having to ask favours of family and friends! I'm also a stickler for the pack-down, to make the following day as easy as possible.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
A bird-of-prey display for the drinks reception.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
By never being afraid of mucking-in and getting things done!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
When a couple get announced in to a wedding breakfast. The whooping, the cheering, the sheer joy!
