EXPERTLY CRAFTED AND PERFECTLY DELIVERED:- As a Wedding Celebrant with a background as a TV presenter, I know exactly how to captivate an audience, command a room and set the perfect tone for your wedding ceremony. My journalistic background brings expertise in writing and storytelling which means that your love story will be beautifully crafted and told - authentic, heartfelt and tailored just for you. But it's not just about words, it's about presence, confidence and connection. You might be feeling nervous about speaking in front of your guests? Don't worry, as a confidence coach I have plenty of tips and tricks up my sleeve to help you get over the pesky nerves but also I can tailor your ceremony so that you only have to repeat after me. Conversely if a la MAFS you'd like to write and deliver your own vows I can help you to do this too. The exciting thing about what my celebrant services offer is that you are spoiled for choice from your vows and ring exchange vows to the signing of a certificate and mini rituals such as Handfasting, to add all of those extra special personal touches. I will help you feel at ease and in control of your own perfect day and ensure every moment, every dream flows effortlessly and just as you dreamed and imagined. My wedding celebrant business brings all my past experience together into one magical place where I get to work closely with couples, write the most magnificent love story, curate their perfect ceremony which will live in their hearts and memories for ever. I will help them to feel at ease and to connect with their guests as well as each other through their journey and their love story so that everyone leaves touched and inspired. What could be better than creating lasting, perfect memories on arguably the biggest day of their lives.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
For a truly perfect ceremony - do your research. When looking for a celebrant make sure they offer 'chemistry calls' - these are free, no commitment calls usually via Zoom where you can ask all of your questions to see what they can deliver for you and to see if you have that 'click'. After all, you want them to speak about you and your love story from a place that resonates with you as a couple. It's important that they are the right person for you.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love the power and symbolism of a mini-ritual, especially handfasting which is a pagan ritual but even the modern day church has adopted it. William and Kate used it at their wedding service. It just adds that extra layer of drama, interest and romance which makes a ceremony next-level in terms of poignancy.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
When you first contact me to register interest and provide your date etc, I will send you a questionnaire.
You will then have 15-30 minute 'chemistry call' with me whereby you can ask me everything and anything that you want to know about what I will deliver for you and you'll get to decide if there's that 'click' between us and if I'm the one you want guiding you through this magical and once in a lifetime process. If so, I will send you a booking form and you will pay a 50% booking fee.
Then there will be an hour long call via zoom or face to face whereby I will 'interview' you about your entire journey together in the first half and in the second 30 minutes we will design your order of ceremony based on your likes and dislikes on that original questionnaire. From this I will then go away and write your love story, your vows and finalise your order of service.
There will be a number of emails from me along the way, informing you of everything you need to make sure that your wedding ceremony is seamless. I will also set up a WhatsApp between us so that we can easily communicate about the finer details as they crop up and share things like Spotify playlists etc.
Communication is key and you'll never be left in the dark wondering what is happening. I will guide you every step of the way. My job is to take care of all of the details and to keep you informed so that you can focus on everything else.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
I love the extra extra details and the little surprises. The best thing I've witnessed was 2 french bulldogs running down the aisle with the rings. The little one promptly did a little excitable wee wee on the floor! It didn't matter though
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
I bring the calm, the hyper-organisation, the communication and the fun. There is no room for stress. I can even provide vocal coaching for those all important wedding vows and confidence coaching for those nerves! No request too silly either. Just ask me and where possible, I'll make sure you get just what you need.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It's got to be connecting with the couples. Can I confess to being quite nosey? Not in a bad way but I'm such a people person. My kids die when we're out "Mummy, why do you have to talk to everyone?" Because I love to talk to people. I love hearing the love story from the couples and then crafting it into a beautiful fairytale so that it is brought to life for the guests. This is definitely my favourite bit.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
That joy and love, coupled with relief when I introduce them as the new Mr and Mrs or any variation of marriage and the room goes wild!
