One of the earliest weddings I was involved in was for one of my oldest and dearest friends. It was a particularly poignant time as my
friend was going through a difficult period in his life and whose wedding marked a turning point that we all felt throughout the day. I will never forget that feeling of joy, optimism and excitement for the future and I now consider it to be a marker for any successful ceremony.
Detailed, heartfelt, optimistic, romantic and smiley.
That I was awarded Chairman's Choice Gold Awards Best Celebrant Newcomer in the DWHA (Destination Weddings and Honeymoons Abroad Magazine) for 2017.
Enjoy the journey, let the professionals take the stress out of the planning for you so that there are lots of good memories to look back on that you can tell your grandchildren about.
I really, really, like the ring warming ritual. I love the idea of the couples loved ones holding the rings and sending good wishes to the couple before they exchange them.
Meet the couple face to face soon after they have gotten in touch and build a rapport with them. Keep in touch, keep talking throughout the process. As I get to know them more of their personalities come out and I hear more stories which all goes in to my writing the perfect ceremony.
Remain calm at all times.
Set your budget and stick to it. There are lots of tools out there, such as Bridebook, which can help you have the day that makes you happy.
I have several. When the couple see each other for the first time; when they say their vows; when they exchange rings; when they kiss; when their loved ones cheer.
