Jane is a wonderful, joyful human and her enthusiasm for life (and weddings!) is contagious! After speaking to Jane on the phone, we just knew she was the right celebrant for us. We had a relaxed rehearsal and before the actual ceremony she warmed up the crowd so that the whole ceremony was active, fun and just joyful! Everyone was so relaxed for the whole time - people were clapping and cheering - it was more fabulous than we ever imagined. Thank you Jane, you are brilliant!

Wow. Where do we even begin!? Jane conducted our humanist wedding ceremony in July 2023 and she was nothing short of perfect! From the beginning Jane was so easy and open with work with. She is highly professional, authentic, warm and gracious in everything that she does. Our family and friends just loved our ceremony; most of them (including me!) had ever seen a humanist ceremony before which made the occasion all the more special. Jane, we really can’t thank you enough for all you did for us. It was a pleasure getting to know you through our wedding journey and we wish you all the best in life! When we started wedding planning, we didn’t know the difference between a registrar and a celebrant but the more we investigated, the more we were drawn to the idea of a personalised ceremony and one that would be more memorable than the standard registrar led ceremony. Jane was the only celebrant we actually spoke to as upon reading her profile on Bridebook, we really liked the sound of Jane and reading she was award winning, we knew Jane must be great. Once we met with Jane, we immediately loved the idea of her leading the ceremony and booked her for our special day. Jane made the whole process so easy as she learnt more about us as a couple and pulled the ceremony wording together. Having Jane lead our ceremony was all the more special as during our wedding planning, we lost one of our parents, and Jane managed to bring this tragedy into the ceremony so eloquently and nailed the tone on a way that highlighted what a loss we were all feeling on the day, but also set the mood for the day - and the mood is what our parents wanted for us, a big celebration and not for us to continue to mourn even though we will always continue feeling this way inside. I’ve had so many complements about Jane since the wedding, so if you are considering using a celebrant (which I highly recommend for a truly memory ceremony), then I couldn’t recommend Jane anymore than I do. On top of Jane being excellent at what she does, she’s also a fantastic and friendly person which is exactly who you want leading the ceremony on your special day.

We’d never experienced a humanist ceremony before, until we attended a friend’s wedding in Ireland and knew it was exactly what we wanted. We came across Jane through the Humanist UK website back in March 2020. At the same time we were entering our first lockdown. All of our initial contact with her was consequently either over the phone or email. Nonetheless, her warm, positive nature and attention to detail, instantly settled us, which was all the more appreciated during such uncertain times. We finally got to meet up face to face a year later, where we began to talk through our story, sitting outside our venue, on our camping chairs, with a flask of tea and some pistachio cookies - provided by Jane. We instantly knew we’d made the right decision. Sharing our life’s story with Jane was so easy. It was like meeting up with an old friend and catching up... After our initial meeting, Jane focused us with her timeline up to the big day. She always worked ahead of schedule, allowing us to make small changes along the way; hardly any were needed! We completed on our final draft a month before the big day, which gave us such confidence going into the home straight of planning. Our final meeting was on the eve of our wedding, where Jane walked us, my brother and my now sister-in-law, through our ceremony. Up until this point we’d managed to keep all of the secrets about the ceremony from them both; which made it all the more special when they got to experience it with us so intimately, the day before we’d be doing it for real. After lots of happy tears and laughter, everyone felt prepared and unbelievably excited about the next day. I woke up on the day with a sense of calm, which I can honestly attribute to Jane and the way she’d taken us on this journey, throughout the build up to the day. Jane arrived with plenty of time on the day. Greeting all of our family and friends as they arrived and talking those involved in the ceremony through everything they needed to know. When the moment finally came, Jane delivered our ceremony with the same warmth and joy we’d experienced on our first encounter, but this time you got a sense that everyone felt it too. It was like magic! Following the ceremony, Jane took the time to again speak to both of our families, as well as joining us for a photo to capture the wonderful moment, before she then left us to enjoy the rest of our day. We will always remember everything Jane did to make the build up and the day, so special for us. It really was beyond anything we could have hoped for.

Dear Jane We wanted to get in touch to say a massive thank you for conducting our wedding ceremony a few weeks ago. It was completely magical and we've never seen so many tears of joy!
