As well as the formality of the occasion, there will always be plenty of laughter! I absolutely love outdoor ceremonies, put me in a field, wood, garden or barn and I'm happy! Wherever the location, your ceremony will always be about you and your ideas, however traditional or quirky they may be. I take pride in celebrating diversity and openness and am sensitive to different cultures and philosophies. I’m open to secular ceremonies, or ceremonies with some spiritual or religious content, always led by what you want. I adore doing handfastings and can advise you on symbolic ceremonies e.g. unity candles, sand ceremonies or jumping the broom, and on readings and music, whatever's right for you. I can also offer advice on the brief legal registration which usually takes place a day or two before the wedding. I'm a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants so hold Public Liability Insurance.

'What can I say? You were so with us from the first meeting, excited and very positive which was amazing! You really listened to what we wanted and needed from our wedding. It was wonderful to have such a hands on experience to shaping our ceremony exactly as we wanted it, being able to bounce ideas off you and get your expertise was so helpful. You crafted a beautiful ceremony - loads of people cried! I would never have thought that possible! You helped us to have the most perfect day in our own imperfect way! Which was wonderful! I couldn't have hoped it would go as well as it did. Guests were messaging me throughout the week still buzzing from the night! We wouldn't have changed a single moment. It was the most perfect day. What is your most memorable wedding?

Book your celebrant early as we get booked up!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A creative handfasting, where all the guests placed ribbons over the couples' wrists!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Initially, I usually meet or Skype with the couple where I can find out what sort of wedding they have in mind and they can decide if I'm the right celebrant for them. After booking me, I send them a questionnaire to get them thinking about their relationship and what the ceremony means to them. We will then have a meeting where we create the ceremony. I'll then write a draft and send it to them for editing, this can be as many times as they like. I'll have a rehearsal with them a day or two before the ceremony, and then I'll conduct the ceremony.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

A wedding in a cattle market where I was in the auctioneer's box!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

Being well prepared, and always having a walk-through before the actual ceremony

What do you love most about your job?

It's a real privilege to be involved in such important life events.

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

A tear always comes to my eye when the bride(s) appear(s)!
