Your wedding. Your way. I’m here to make sure it all comes together.
I’m Harriet, founder of Dorset Wedding Co., and I’m a wedding planner and coordinator based in Dorset, working across Dorset and the South West.
I’m not the kind of planner who disappears into the background with a clipboard. I’m there in the thick of it, managing suppliers, keeping timelines on track, sorting the unexpected, making sure your guests know where they need to be and, when necessary, doing whatever needs doing to make the day work.
Whether you want someone beside you from the very beginning or you've planned everything yourself and simply don't want to be the person running your wedding on the day, I can step in and take it from there.
From finding the right suppliers and managing your budget, to creating detailed timelines, coordinating setup and pack-down, liaising with everyone involved and making sure you actually get to enjoy your wedding. I take care of the details so you can be present for the moments that matter.
My approach is personal, practical and completely centred around you. I don't believe your wedding should look or feel like anyone else's. It's your ideas, your people, your day, I'm here to bring it all together.
And yes, I'll probably have a radio in my hand, a running timeline in my pocket and be fixing something you didn't even know was happening. That's exactly where I like to be.
Planning a wedding in Dorset or the South West? I'd love to hear what you're planning.
Absolutely. Everyone deserves a wedding that feels completely like them. As a gay woman myself, creating an inclusive, welcoming and genuinely personal experience for my couples is incredibly important to me.
Yes. Full planning means I'm alongside you from the beginning, helping with suppliers, budgets, logistics, timelines, design and all the decisions that come with planning a wedding. I'll then coordinate everything on the day so you can actually experience the wedding you've spent so long planning.
Yes! I also offer The Wedding Round Up. A one-off planning check-in for couples who have planned their wedding themselves but want an experienced planner to look over everything. We'll identify anything you've missed, talk through logistics and leave you with a clear plan of what needs doing next.
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all minimum budget. Every wedding is different, so I'd rather have a conversation about what you're planning, what matters most to you and how I can help.
Dorset is home, but I work across the South West and love travelling for weddings. If you're planning a wedding outside Dorset, get in touch and we can chat about your plans.
Absolutely. I'll liaise with your suppliers before the wedding, make sure everyone understands the timeline and knows where they need to be, and manage communication on the day. If a supplier has a question, I want them coming to me, not you.
Yes. Depending on your package, I can coordinate and oversee everything from ceremony setup and tables to décor, garden games and the final pack-down. My aim is that you don't have to worry about what's happening behind the scenes.
That's exactly who my coordination service is for. You don't need help planning your wedding , you need someone to take everything you've organised and make it happen on the day. My job is to make sure you're not the person checking whether the caterer has arrived, organising the DJ or setting out the chairs while you're supposed to be getting married.
For my wedding coordination service, I officially come on board around four weeks before your wedding. This gives us plenty of time to get to know your plans, speak to your suppliers, create your final timeline and make sure every detail is covered before the big day.
