Hello! I'm Claire, a humanist wedding celebrant, accredited by Humanists UK, based in Belfast, Co Antrim. I specialise in creating unique, heartfelt wedding ceremonies for couples across Northern Ireland.
I'm a hopeless romantic and Mum to two little boys and I love nothing more than a family trip to the beach followed by a Richard Curtis romcom and a glass of wine.
I'm also lucky enough to love my job. What's not to love about announcing a newly married couple to the cheers of their families and friends?
I am passionate about crafting joyful ceremonies that showcase my couples' personalities and that they will remember for a lifetime. I’ll walk you through the every step of the process, with an initial video consultation to check we're a good fit for each other followed by assistance with all the legal paperwork, a one-to-one planning meeting, a first draft of your ceremony script and lots of time for small edits to make sure it's beautifully tailored to you, your love story, and your unique style and preferences.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I run two businesses, a Wedding Planning business and my Celebrant work, both of which I started myself from nothing, while looking after my two young boys.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Carve out a bit of time in your day to stop and enjoy all of your friends and family being together in one place. It's likely to be the only time it will ever happen.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love to see a unique symbolic gesture such as locking letters to each other away in a box to be opened on your first anniversary.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We'd always have an initial chat to make sure I'm the right fit for you, I'd sit down with you over a coffee and have an informal chat to get to know you and find out everything that makes your love story special. I'll also recommend some readings, help with your vows, talk you through symbolic acts and guide you through the admin bits to make your marriage legal.
I then take all of that information and write your ceremony, which hopefully you love on first reading but we'd leave plenty of time to work through any changes you'd like to make.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
A wedding 7 weeks after the couple got engaged.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
By being meticulously organised and making sure we've talked through every detail of how you want your ceremony to run.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It's an absolute honour and privilege to be able to marry people and I never take it for granted.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
Announcing the newly married couple to their family and friends. It always gives me goosebumps.
