What is your most memorable wedding?
What's yours? What can you remember about the last few weddings you attended?
Weddings nowadays have become a bit cut-and-paste, and they're all so alike they tend to blend together in our memories. Nothing stands out. Even when a couple is promised a personalised ceremony, quite often they are just choosing the same pre-written vows, promises and readings from lists or websites. The only part of the ceremony which is actually written personally for them is their "love story", a few sentences in the middle of the ceremony about how they met, which most of the guests have heard before.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Honestly, it’s not really about my style. Because it’s your ceremony, and your wedding day.
It’s so important that the vows, promises and special words you say to each other are truly your words and not your celebrant’s.
Even if your celebrant writes them for you, they should always take great care to write your words and not their own.
The words are already in your heart. My role, my style, is simply to release them.

When people are able to say the things which matter to them in a ceremony, witnessed by their loved ones, it can cement their relationships and strengthen their families in a profound and lasting way.
When I decided to train as a celebrant, it was important to me that the training would be the most challenging I could find, the NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Celebrancy.
