What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding has been amazing so far! In terms of location, the wedding I did for a lovely couple on top of Mount Snowdon is a ceremony I'll never forget.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, informal, warm, light-hearted, cheerful.
What about your business are you most proud of?
That I have been able to make so many people happy.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy yourselves and don't be afraid to go for exactly what you want.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After the initial contact, I meet with a couple to find out more about them and the type of wedding ceremony they have in mind. We put together an order of service which contains all the elements they'd like to have (such as being given away, exchanging rings and a symbolic ceremony like a unity candle or sand ceremony). I send them examples of poems and readings and can also help writing wedding vows. I write a draft version of the ceremony which I send to the couple for approval, and when we have it exactly as they'd like I make a final version which I deliver it on the day. I also help with 'choreographing' the wedding so everyone knows where they are standing, entering and leaving from at what time, and I arrive early at the venue to meet the family and help guests to their seats - anything to help make the day more relaxed and stress-free for the couple.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the fact that every wedding will be totally different and that I am able to help a couple create a ceremony that is true to them.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
I love the symbolic ceremonies that people choose, whether it is a handfasting, lighting a candle or planting a tree. It is in these moments that couples really express themselves and the love they have for one another. You also can't beat 'You may kiss your bride!' and the eruption of cheers and applause that follows.
