For me, there's not just 1 most memorable wedding. What's most memorable are the spontaneous, unscripted things which happen. The glances between wedding partners, an un-intrusive guest interaction which adds humour, or my hug from the couple afterwards, which is full of joy and gratitude. Small, spontaneous things like this happen at all weddings and make each memorable in their own way.
Professional, Conscientious, Inclusive, Open-minded and Authentic.
After meeting face to face, if you decide I'm the right celebrant for you, we'll liaise over email, phone and video calling, deciding on and pulling together the finer contents of the ceremony. Close to the wedding date, you'll receive a draft copy of the written ceremony to approve. And closer still, we'll have a ceremony rehearsal. On the day, I arrive early to greet you ensuring you're fully prepared, and then guide you through the ceremony we've designed together.
Arriving early on the day and connecting with the other wedding suppliers, to ensure we're all up to date on what's happening when and any adjustments. This helps things flow smoothly, so that you, the couple, can just concentrate on doing what you're there for - marrying each other.
There is so much I love about what I do - Where to begin? I love the diversity of the couples I meet, and finding out more about them, what they love about each other and how they want to represent this on the day. I love hearing from some couples after the ceremony with pregnancy, house moving or other news, as to how their married life is developing. And I love the variety of the content couples choose, as no 2 ceremonies are the same.
I have a couple of favourite moments. The first is when I greet the couple before the start of the ceremony to check how they are. This is such a delightfully emotional time, full of excitement and anticipation. The second is at the end of the ceremony when I pronounce the couple. This is wonderful, whether a celebrancy wedding or legal wedding, both the couple themselves and their guests are so happy, and it shows.
