What is your most memorable wedding?
Working with a beautiful bride, who despite her dad's terminal illness, was very dedicated and lovely to work alongside. What made her wedding one of my favourites was seeing the moment she walked in to view her reception room... she burst into tears at how gorgeous it looked and knowing that I helped play a part in making her day perfect just filled me with joy.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, soothing, life-saving!, organised and professional.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Taking the stress away from so many lovely couples! It is very fulfilling to see my clients relax and enjoy their day!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember the reasons why you are marrying in the first place! It is so easy to get carried away with it all, but at the end of the day you are marrying the person you want to spend the rest of your life with.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My favourite personal touch was a couple who had named their tables after all of the places they had visited. Their table plan consisted of a map of the world with each tables list of guests was pointing to each location on the map. Then the table markers were little polaroid images that the couple had taken whilst in that location. Certainly a little jealous of all the amazing places they had visited together!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My process begins by gathering as much information about your dream wedding. I then allocate the budget, set up a planning schedule and get stuck in!
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
Nothing too crazy just yet! I really want animals at a wedding - especially Alpacas and Owl ring bearers!!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Organisation, timings and writing a lot down! (...and hiring a wedding planner! ;) )
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing so much love!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
My absolute favourite moment has got to have been from one of my more recent weddings! My couple were legally wed 3 days before their blessing ceremony taking place on the bandstand in Shrewsbury Quarry and decided to arrive together and walk the aisle as husband and wife. The Quarry being a very public area meant that there was lots of uninvited guests around, however when my bride and groom began to walk their very long aisle, every single bystander gave a round of applause and it was such a beautiful moment - I really had to hold back the tears!
