We chose David for our wedding day as he offered a range of different options and came across as super kind and helpful. From the start David was able to cater to our needs as an interracial couple, and had plenty experience in his field such that any request from us was not new ground. David has a very relaxing and peaceful vibe but is also very structured which worked well throughout the process of writing vows and doing all the logistics. On the day itself, David was brilliant. I didn’t have to worry about the small details as he had it all covered. You can really trust David to deliver on his promises. The best aspect of David’s services was how he was able to really cater to our needs, revising the script even for the smallest details. I would wholeheartedly recommend David for any future couples, he really is excellent!

We can’t thank David enough for the ceremony he provided for our special day. From the first message when we reached out David was very personable, made us feel comfortable and worked magic on getting us both to open up (we were both a bit scared!). The speech David prepared was perfect, not too serious but got across our love story in a lovely way. David also helped us with our personal vows and made sure we were on the same page. Following the ceremony our words were printed and presented in a lovely booklet which is a wonderful keepsake. We would recommend David to anyone who is looking for a bespoke, personable and warm ceremony. We couldn't have asked for any more.

After meeting several officiants, we chose David to share our special day. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant in David. Right from the start he was welcoming, helpful and easy to talk to. The collaboration between us and him on our vows and service prior to the wedding went very smoothly. He allowed us to have plenty of creative freedom with creating our love story, as well as allowing us the flexibility to update or tweak any elements of our story or vows when needed. He was very generous with his time on the big day, by turning up earlier than initially planned to put us at ease with our preparations, as well as being really friendly and approachable to our friends and family as they arrived. The ceremony itself couldn’t have gone better. David had lots of energy right from the outset and toed the line perfectly between fun and lighthearted as well as genuine sincerity where necessary. After the ceremony he didn’t rush off and stayed to mingle with the guests and have a celebratory drink with us before heading home. We had many guests coming up to us afterwards saying how much they enjoyed his ceremony and we couldn’t agree more with everything they said. We’re thrilled to have chosen David as our wedding celebrant and would absolutely recommend him to all our friends and family in the future. Thank you David!

Where to begin! My wife and I decided after doing some research that we wanted to make our wedding ceremony personal and not go with the “typical script” of a registrar led ceremony. Upon deciding this, we researched celebrants local to us and David’s name popped up. We contacted David and set up a meeting at a local coffee shop. From the moment we met David, we could both tell he was the right fit for us! He was warm, open and caring whilst remaining professional and we could tell he really wanted to ensure he captured exactly what we wanted our service to be- and more! David listened to our story, asked us lots of questions and really took time to get to know us as a couple. David was more than happy to include personal touches like a Quaich (me being Scottish) and include our parents in readings. On the day, David ensured individually we were ready, prepared and happy and he always had a calm and warm presence about him which was very reassuring in the nervous build up! I would absolutely recommend anyone thinking of hiring a celebrant to help facilitate their day to not hesitate in contacting David. He really did make our service memorable and personal and we have had numerous compliments by guests on how refreshing it was.

I always thought that the ceremony was the boring part of a wedding, but not at ours! David made it so interesting and personal to us. We had a meeting with him far in advance and so he knew all about how we met, and incorporated it into a really unique ceremony. He mentioned all the important dates and people, and kept it funny and engaging without taking away from the importance and of the marriage. It was really important to us that the ceremony didn't put people to sleep but also didn't feel informal or silly, and David struck the ideal balance. It was definitely everyone's favourite part of the day, and all our guests mentioned how they loved it. If we could go back and redo our wedding we wouldn't change the ceremony one bit, it was perfect to the letter.

Our wedding was absolutely magical thanks to David! We are so glad we booked him, it was such a special ceremony and tailored specifically for us. We chose the traditional ring exchange, a handfasting and a final blessing. It was 30min long. We wanted to include some specific bits, for example we used something that belonged to my late grandmother for the handfasting and he told our guests our love story. Also, my husband has a little girl and we wanted to make her part of it, so David gave her a lovely role in the ceremony which we adored. What I particularly loved about our ceremony is how much more special and personal it was than other ceremonies. David interpreted what we wanted perfectly, he captured our style and he understood what we wanted to share with our guests. Our guests loved it and at no point did the ceremony drag or feel like it was too long. It felt exactly what the union of two people in love should feel like, that’s the only way I can describe it. Communication was excellent from start to finish, David guided us through the design of our ceremony and suggested poems, readings and music. We never felt like we were alone, at any point we could ask him anything and he’d answer promptly, he was always helpful. Thank you for making our day so wonderful and memorable!

We were fortunate to work with David Wills as the celebrant for our wedding in Oxford. My husband and I live in Australia but have strong connections to the UK so chose to work with David as we planned our wedding from overseas. David worked through the preparation with us. He was a patient guide to various options in terms of how we might conduct and tailor our ceremony. We were able to integrate our daughter into the ceremony at David’s suggestion - this was very important to us. On the day David was a wonderful celebrant, the ceremony was beautifully conducted and David calmly guided us throughout. We would highly recommend David, he made our special day truly special!

We hired David as our wedding celebrant and we will blown away at how beautiful the ceremony was. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was and the amazing options he has like the candle ceremony and ring blessings just added that something different to our ceremony. We weren’t sure what to expect when booking a wedding celebrant, we just knew we wanted a more personalised ceremony and somebody more flexible than the typical registrar. From the initial zoom meeting with David we got such a warm feeling from him and knew he was the right choice. We really enjoyed planning our ceremony with him over the months & it was a real bonus to have him helping with the ceremony music, timings, etc. We have just received a pack post-wedding containing our commemorative certificate, and the printed ceremony word for word which has been lovely to read back. David provides so much more than just the delivery of your vows and we can’t recommend him enough!
