What is your most memorable wedding?
That's a tricky question... there have been too many to single one out for any particular reason. So the easiest answer would be the last one we worked on!!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
unique, personable, professional, dynamic, practical
What about your business are you most proud of?
Probably the fact that we are one of the longest established wedding planning companies in the UK.
Although we are also proud of the fact that many other established, award-winning wedding planners previously studied and trained alongside us. (We happen to run a small private training academy for aspiring wedding planners).
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When planning your own wedding, choose 3 or 4 elements most important to you and make them your priority - we suggest venue, food, photography and music.
Then try not to get too stressed out with the infinite number of other details you will encounter during the planning process, such as favours, chair covers, place settings etc. They have the potential to cause you an enormous amount of stress, way above and beyond their actual significance. It may be that the favour boxes are ivory when you specifically requested purple. However your guests are not going to know, nor care!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A groom secretly flying in the bride's father from Australia - everyone was in tears!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
There is no such thing as 'typical' when it comes to weddings. All our clients have their own unique ideas and requirements. That being said, we often conduct a face-to-face consultation and draw up a detailed wedding planning brief that outlines how we will develop and enhance the creative and practical ideas that evolved from the consultation. We then work extremely hard in bringing these concepts to life. The emphasis is on a highly personable and professional approach.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
There are quite a few... one that springs to mind is hiring a stunt plane to write I LOVE YOU in the sky - a 'little' love message from the groom to his bride!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Ultimately through our experience and professionalism. Problem solving is one of the most important attributes a good planner possesses. We always have first class back up plans so potentially stressful issues are often resolved before our clients even hear of them.
What do you love most about your job?
Making clients happy on their wedding day. You don't get many bigger or more memorable days in your lifetime!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
That's easy - getting married myself!
