What is your most memorable wedding?
I don't think I have one most memorable, but one thing I always remember is one speech by the maid of honour to the bride (her sister) where they had gone through so much together. The stories and love in the speech had me in tears the other side of the camera!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, Relaxed, Fun, Romantic, Love
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am able to bring amazing moments from people's special days to them in a way they can relive it over and over.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
As a photographer, definitely let me know of any photos you want to include before the big day. That way I can also plan ahead and make sure we get the shot.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The groom gave everyone an animal figurine as their place holders at the tables, he was a zoologist. It must have taken him ages to assign everyone one!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I am a very chatty friendly person and want to make sure I get everything you want. After you reach out I will either chat with you over email/whatsapp or if you prefer hop on a call/zoom so you get a feel for my personality. From there we can get you booked in at your own pace. I am happy for any questions to be asked at anytime throughout the year and lead up to your wedding day. About 8-2 weeks before I will arrange another call/zoom or meeting in person to run through the shots and the day with you (there will be certain details I need from you and you from me). I'll arrive on the day and start taking those photos! After the day it usually takes me 6-8 weeks to edit, but I am to get a sneak peak within 48hours to you. I am available after the day and photo delivery to chat more if there is anything you need.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I always ask couple and families to see if there is a photo they already have that they would like to recreate. This usually tends to be a photo from early on in the relationship! Always a bit of fun.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Even though it isn't good for my camera, I love the rain. I say dance in it and enjoy!
Describe how you got into photography.
I actually started out in wildlife photography over 10 years ago which led me down a path into wildlife filmmaking. From there I got into drama/horror TV shows where I would also take headshots and behind the scenes stills. I eventually started taking some photos for friends and assisted at a wedding. I fell in LOVE. I am a massive romantic and love love so it was a magical day for me and I just kept on wanting to do it.
