What is your most memorable wedding?
I did a wedding in a field in the middle of nowhere in Devon in the summer. The reception was in a group of huge tipi tents overlooking the sea. I think it was one of my most challenging weddings ever due to many different factors, but certainly one of my highlights.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, traditional, documentary, clean and timeless.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I have worked hard over the last four years to build good relationships with my suppliers and in particular my wedding album supplier and can therefore offer every couple a luxury 40 page album with every package. Upgrades always available, but I will be assured that every couple gets a beautiful keepsake after their Wedding Day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Meet your photographer in person as they will be a constant throughout your day and can be either a lovely calming presence in control of all the little schedule issues, or a loud, bossy distraction and irritation for you and your guests.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A side profile of a group of 4 siblings who wanted me to capture their noses for posterity!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Wellie boots, an umbrella and a big smile. I am weather proof so there are no excuses for not getting great shots. Every type of weather is just another great opportunity for creativity.
Describe how you got into photography.
Faces and eyes... I have deep empathy for people in general and it was a natural progression to want to capture the beauty I see in every single person I meet.
