I think it is important to escape the wedding for 15-20 mins with the wedding photographer.
1 - you get a little time to yourselves which is very important.
2 - this give the photographer time to get a few cheeky snaps of you naturally interacting, to me that is more important than 1 specific photo.
There have been a few over the year. But the first that springs to mind a groom wanted a photo of him cleaning his classic car with his wife wedding dress.
Lots of umbrellas, a positive attitude (we do live in England after all), and to embrace it. Your wedding day will be perfect regardless of the weather.
