Hi, I'm Benjamin 👋

Leaving school I joined the army where I served in various countries for over 4 years. I then left and became a lorry driver, which didn't excite me at all so I decided to plunge into the world of photography (with a nudge from my exe's mum). After setting my business up I now work for Southwest Ambulance as an Emergency Care Assistant.

Weddings : 6 Hours £1095 10 Hours £1695 EXTRAS: Second Shooter £250 Extra Hours £140ph 10% off weekday rate Email: [email protected] A wedding day is a story, and just like turning the pages of a book, I would document the narrative of the event in the form of beautifully edited high-resolution wedding photographs. Some of the most beautiful wedding photography that I have produced has been of candid moments between the newlyweds and their guests. You can be assured that I capture everything you would want to treasure with complete discretion. I am a very easy-going, nonintrusive photographer. I let things unfold naturally and catch the moments.

Ben's photos were fantastic

Ben's photos were fantastic, perfectly capturing the day. He was excellent to communicate with and work with. Unobtrusive on the day but getting all the right shots - we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Ben. Thank you! James & Harrie

I would highly recommend him

Ben is an excellent photographer with an artistic eye. He was the photographer for our wedding at a fairytale chateau in Provence, France and he managed to capture the magic of the location perfectly. I would highly recommend him for high-end weddings either in the U.K. or abroad.

Look no further!!

Wow! We can't recommend Ben enough. What an amazingly talented, professional photographer. Ben photographed our wedding and the results absolutely blew us away. If that wasn't enough Ben also made us and our guests feel totally at ease. Most of the time we didn't even know he was there! The wonderful surprise of the presentation box is a wonderful touch and we will treasure it forever. Thank you Ben, you really deserve ever success.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Sam and Gemmas wedding was one to remember. The colours throughout the day. The small things like the flowers in vases and in her hair. Yellows and blues. Traditional styling, Something old, something new, something borrowed. We literally just bantered like friends and I didn't feel like I was just a photographer.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Easy going, natural, fun, approachable and alert

What about your business are you most proud of?

Im proud of my ability to be able to blend in and almost become a part of the day. Proud of how much I've achieved in 4 years. From shooting a wedding in Bulgaria, to being sent out to California for 2 weeks by Panasonic testing their new cameras.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Less is more. I remember even before I was a photographer, wedding's I went to as a guest. The smaller budgets ones where nicer. If you nail the colours of the theme, flowers, dresses, suits etc and venue to suit, it all falls into place. This really helps with photos. Activities to keep guests busy are also a good idea. Disposable cameras, confetti, sparklers can bump up a wedding photo album nicely. Bridal prep in a room with a large window.......... there's so many! I can also advise you of some MUA's and Hair stylists I have worked with.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Sarah and Giles had two piglets walk down the aisle during their service as a blessing. Some funny moments there!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After receiving an initial enquiry I like to meet up for a coffee and talk about the day. Ask you if there are any photo requirements you might be needing on the day, timings and locations. This is all noted on the booking form. I can even bring my camera and get some shots for an hour somewhere nice! A couple shoot so you can see if your 100% happy to book. Get a feel and used to the camera. Once we have confirmed the date and a booking fee is received your day is confirmed. I am then available by phone or email anytime for any queries or updates. I will then see you next on the morning of your big day so capture all the moments.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Photos of bride and groom alone, and with parents. This tells the whole story of the day for me. And a confetti / sparkler image to say we did it!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Allll sorts of crazy requests

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Bring some wellies or old trainers. Embrace the mood. Grey heavy skies can be pleasing in a natural environment. If the venue has space I will make use of it for group shots etc. I also have flash equipment we can as a backup in case the weather is really bad. We can use the grand rooms and aesthetics to become part of your wedding album. It's very rare it rains all day. When it stops, we venture out and shoot as much as we can!

Describe how you got into photography.

I took a lot of photos when I was in the British Army. Before the smartphone era. When I left the forces, my friend's mum told me I had an eye for photography. She was a wedding photographer herself back in the day. Years later I bought a DSLR, I made an Instagram account @whoisbenjamin and it all started from there. I then found a passion for weddings! It's now an obsession and my life.
