Hi, I’m Andy, a Launceston wedding photographer and the photographer behind Wedding Days by Andy Davies Photography. I bring a fun, friendly and slightly cheeky energy to every wedding I photograph. I’m not the kind of photographer who disappears quietly into the background all day. I’m there helping things flow, getting people laughing and making sure we capture some fantastic moments along the way.
For me, a wedding is about people and personality – the laughter between friends, the proud looks from family members, the big celebrations and the quieter moments in between. My approach combines natural storytelling with natural documentary and idyllic editorial portraits, so you’ll have plenty of genuine moments alongside the beautiful portraits you’ll want to frame and keep.
Being based in Launceston means I’m lucky to photograph weddings across Cornwall and the surrounding countryside, capturing everything from intimate celebrations to big, energetic wedding days. Every couple and every wedding is different, and my aim is always the same: to create photographs that reflect the atmosphere, emotion and character of your day.
Most of all, I want couples to enjoy the experience. Weddings should feel fun, not like a photoshoot that takes over the day. I’ll guide you when needed, keep things relaxed, and make sure we create photographs you’ll still love decades from now.

How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 12–18 months ahead, especially for summer weekends, but you’re welcome to check availability at any time.
Do you hold dates without a deposit?
Dates are secured only once the booking fee is paid and the terms of business have been agreed to. I will however pencil in provisional dates if it’s just a case of finding the deposit funds.
Can we meet you before booking?
Absolutely. We can either do that via video call or in-person.
How many hours of coverage do you offer?
I offer coverage from two to twelve hours. Each couple have different needs and I want to cater to everyone.
Do you work alone or with a second photographer?
I would alone.
How do you handle low-light or bad weather?
Professional lighting and weather-proof gear mean your photos will look great whatever the conditions.
Will you need a shot list?
A short list for family group photos is helpful and is something we will discuss in your pre-wedding consultation and photoshoot. For the rest, I focus on natural moments and storytelling.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Final galleries are delivered within 4 weeks, but couples typically receive their images within one week as this is my full-time business.
How many photos will we receive?
I work on the basis of 50 images per hour.
Do you retouch the photos?
Every delivered image is professionally edited for light, colour, tone, and style.
