FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

This was a wedding which took place in 2013 between Laura and Kevin. The ceremony was at a registry office and the reception was at Laura's parents home; in their back garden. It was a real fairy-tale wedding because of the reception. Laura, Kevin and Laura's parents had put an enormous amount of thought and effort into everything, such that it made it a magical day and a fantastic place to photograph the bride and groom and their guests! It's one I will never forget and photos of it can be seen on my website.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Traditional but modern, unobtrusive and friendly but professional.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Being able to help happy couples make memories of their special day.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Relax and let the Love carry you through.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Sliced tree trunk pieces with personal messages painted on them and scattered around the reception to each other between the bride and groom about the wedding day.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We meet up 6-8 weeks before the wedding at the latest. We have a look at previous weddings I have photographed and discuss the sort of thing they want. We then have an engagement or pre-wedding shoot to become familiar and comfortable with each other before the big day.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A special photograph with just the couple in, in a special setting and in a loving pose.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A pair of ladies shoes discarded on the floor at a wedding reception; presumably new shoes which were not as comfortable as they expected them to be!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Try to get photos indoors, but also try to get some special shots in the rain with umbrellas, or similar

Describe how you got into photography.

I started photography as a hobby when I was at school, over 40 years ago; for many years I had my own darkroom and processed all my own photographs. But now everything is digital, processing no longer involves a darkroom!
