I don't like the words 'reportage' and 'photojournalistic style'... but I do prefer to stay in the background for most of the time and capture the events as they unfold (lots of smiles and emotions). My favourite part of the day however is the bride and groom portraits. It gives me an opportunity to take control and get a little creative, but also some semi-private time for the couple to get a little fresh air and just be themselves away from the crowd. I offer a complimentary engagement / pre-wedding shoot as part of you package. It gives us a chance to get to know each other a little better before your big day, and it's also a great opportunity for you to get used to the camera pointing in your direction... Your images will be edited very clean and simple (both colour and black-and-white) - I find this is the best way to keep your photographs timeless and ensure you'll be happy looking at them in 10-20-30 years. I'm more than happy to discuss ideas with you about the specific formal and informal shots you'd like to cover, but I'd like to think I have enough experience not to miss any important detail of your day. I also always work with a second shooter, which helps me to cover not only the bride preparations, but also the groom getting ready if needed, more angles throughout the day and more candid photos of precious moments.
