Shooting over 500 people at an epic Hindu & Christian ceremony across four days in the grounds of Oxford University.
Reportage, creative, candid, relaxed, honest.
Teaching myself from scratch & working my way up.
Create the day YOU want and don't give in to pressure from others!
Individual hand written comments on table place holders for each guest. It made everyone there feel special.
I like to get under the skin of what they're really looking for pre-wedding & will give as much help and guidance as they need in the run up. This ranges from recommending suppliers, to coaching them through nervousness about being in front of the camera, to sowing up a hole in a dress two minutes before the ceremony. Yes, it has happened! I just try to stay as human & accessible as possible for them throughout.
The couple cracking each other up. After all, that's one of main reason's we marry our partners right? Because we have fun with them. You have to capture the spark and chemistry on a wedding day. However that's my job, not theirs!
My style is so reportage / documentary that people don't really ask me to take posed or specific images. It's actually the opposite of that- it's about capturing spontaneity. Lots of clients ask me to capture enjoyment, emotion and laughter, so thats what I aim for.
Wellies, white brollies, and a sense of humour!
I loved it from a young age & then taught myself. Then I was lucky enough to work with some brilliant photographers who I've learnt bucket-loads from, and I've since been able to refine my personal style.
