What is your most memorable wedding?
Nicola & Ollie's beautiful wedding in Greenwich, London. It was 31C, hottest day of the year, but everyone was in such good spirits and the views were stunning. We'll never forgot this one!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Lifestyle, Natural, Relaxed, Memorable, Premium
What about your business are you most proud of?
We build strong rapport with all of our couples. We're personable people and love getting to know our couples from an initial meeting, to meeting for a drink, to running plans by one another, to the big day. We find we make lasting friends along the way and we love it.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When getting ready in the AM, make sure the area stays nice and tidy. Its a big game changer if the room is spotless for your pictures.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
At a wedding we shot in Manchester, the brides parents decorated the entire venue. They included these glass candle balls which illuminated the room in a lovely glow. It felt so calming and beautiful for the evening reception.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We begin our process with a pre wedding meeting, free of charge. Here we can discuss any ideas you have, the packages we offer and if we can tailor something bespoke to ensure what we can do for you is perfect. From here, we solidify the date with a small percentage deposit. A few months before the big day we'll arrange a meet up, we'll meet and perform a recce at the venue and chat through any shot ideas you might want to have in specific places. Depending on your package, we can also shoot a couples shoot before the day. We create a shared Pinterest board to also run our ideas past you for the shooting. On the day, we can either be fly on the wall and barely noticeable, or we can take charge, whatever best suits you. We're super flexible and experienced enough to do either. Afterwards, we send a proofing of our selections of photography and video. Here our couples can make changes to the colour, blemishes or if we're talking video, the music track or grading. We don't expect full payment until the content is fully ready to send across and don't send anything final until payment has been paid in full.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The private couples shoot. It's a chance for everyone to get a little creative and create some memories to look back on forever, for just an hour.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
We were asked to meet with a couple at a gothic abandoned church in central London. It looks and feels jurassic, and you'd never know it's right next to the Sky Garden in central London.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrella's! Rain offers the opportunity for some stunning photography using reflections, different settings especially at night and something different. We have to utilise the classic British weather, huh?!
Describe how you got into photography.
Myself, Brydn learnt from an early age through my aunty. She bought me my first camera and I loved learning how to use long exposure techniques to light paint. My love of nature also had me mixing landscapes and rural cityscapes with long exposures. I then went all the way through school to university continuing my passion in photography, and now work for a commercial agency in central London shooting photography and video for a mixture of large profile clients.
Ian, studied film and video. He continued his career and now works for the Social Mobility Pledge as their lead production manager.
We worked together for 5 years, and shot weddings together since we first met. We then decided to create Unveil Weddings UK mid lockdown number and have loved it ever since.
