What is your most memorable wedding?
I adore visiting the huge stunning venues full of history and detail. But my most memorable wedding was held at the couple's local pub! It was a beautiful sunny day so they enjoyed live music, afternoon tea and even their wedding speeches in the pub garden.
The couple are big sci-fi fans and had chosen a Star Wars themed wedding cake. I just had to add a light saber when editing their 'cutting the cake' photos!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, fun, candid, chilled, creative
What about your business are you most proud of?
The feedback from my couples is that I am like an extra member of the family at the wedding. I see this as a big compliment as I strive to put people at ease so they are comfortable in front of the camera.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
While planning your big day, don't forget to enjoy it! Think about what interests you as a couple and bring those details into your wedding day to make it unique to you.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Couple designed their own wedding logo based on their heritage symbols
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I meet all couples to chat about your wedding and the photography style you like. This also gives you the opportunity to look through some albums and prints of my photos.
Before your wedding day, I will visit your venue to scope out some interesting and unique shots for you.
I always arrive early on the big day to get some detail shots before your guests start arriving. I capture your day in a documentary style and stay for your evening guest arrivals, first dance and a few dance floor shots too.
After editing your photos, I deliver them on a USB stick within 4 - 6 weeks. Those photos are yours to use as you wish. I can create albums and arrange prints for you if that's something you are interested in too.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
There are so many to choose from! It might sound obvious but a natural/ unposed photo of you two. There will be formal shots taken throughout the day but a natural candid photo of you guys, capturing the moment is my No.1.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
That's got to be one of my brides throwing an axe at her new husband ... don't ask!!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace the rain! I always have an umbrella in the car on standby , so we can catch a great rain shot. This is Britain after all!
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always been into photography, taking photos since I was a child. When I started I was using actual film and I learned to develop in a makeshift dark room in the family bathroom. I believe that learning the rudiments of photography using film has given me a good understanding of the art form.
I married my wife in 2014 and was inspired to get into professional photography by our own wedding photographer!
