Hi, I’m Tim — an award-winning Hertfordshire wedding photographer with a relaxed approach and a deep love for beautiful, honest storytelling. My work blends fine art aesthetics and a love of candid, natural photography with real, unfiltered emotion — think heartfelt moments, beautiful portraits, maybe a bit of glorious dance floor chaos and fun. Photography’s been in my bones since I was six, racing around with a film camera on family holidays. Since then, I’ve photographed everything from music festivals to portraits, landscapes, and beyond. That creative grounding sharpened my eye for atmosphere, connection, and those fleeting, powerful moments that make a wedding truly unforgettable.

Cindy and Francoise, Fanhams Hall, Ware.
This was a truly multicultural wedding. Cindy was a beautiful Chinese bride (with a huge bridal party), and Franscois was a cool, French guy. The wedding was a traditional UK registry service followed by an intricate Traditional Chinese Tea ceremony and a highly choreographed first dance. With well over 200 guests, it was technically challenging, but the results were magnificent - Cindy and Francoise were a lovely couple to work with, and I had a few calls with Cindy to ensure I understood the complexities of the day and the moments that were particularly important to them.

Try not to get too stressed
The wedding planner gave the bride his jacket when it suddenly started raining
I always like to speak with couples interested in using me as their wedding photographer to give them an opportunity to get to know me and my approach, and to answer any questions they may have. If you go ahead and book me, I'll follow that up with another call or face-to-face meeting (ideally at the venue) closer to your big day to finalise timings and any specific photo requirements.
Although I'm an experienced wedding photographer, I make sure my couples understand how I will manage their wedding from a photography perspective and the shots I will take. It's important to me that every couple has the opportunity to be as fully involved in the planning process as they want to be, and this includes ensuring specific photo requirements are clearly understood and captured on the day.

Reindeer at a Christmas wedding - that decided to have a bit of rampage when the Bride and Groom took them for a walk.
Don't let the rain ruin your wedding photos! If the weather's looking bad, pack some wellies - these can give you fantastic quirky shots. Alternatively, find somewhere at your venue that has a good source of natural light, but ideally not a window. Skylights are good, or a large covered porch. This will help ensure you get the best light possible for any group shots you may want. I'm very comfortable using artificial light sources (Flash, etc.), so you have no need to worry.
I've been a photographer since I was a young boy, so it was a natural progression. I've photographed everything from portraits, music, sports and landscapes, but wedding photography is my passion.
