What is your most memorable wedding?
That is too tough to answer, sorry! The weddings that I'm always fond of are where there is an obvious sense of genuine emotion between the couple - which makes the excitement reflect in the photographs. This is always a joy to be amongst.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, unobtrusive, observant, creative and kind.
What about your business are you most proud of?
The photographs that reflect peoples excitement.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't put yourselves under pressure; be comfortable with what you plan for the day; always leave yourself enough time to have fun and feel the moments of the day. Don't let it all flash by in a whirlwind. Savour it as it happens!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Home made decorations that have meaning and reflect the couple.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I will discuss over Skype / telephone call to run through any initial queries. Nearer the time of the wedding I send a form to gather the information I need. At any point, I'm happy to take emails or calls to run through anything up until the day of the wedding.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Photo/s of the bride and groom having a few moments to themselves - going on a magical walk together, alone; to reflect on each other and the significance of the day. These make for nice photographs.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Always plan for a rainy day - as it will still be fun. But if it is sunny, then that's a bonus! Then you'll never have that sinking feeling if the weather turns out to be not so great as you'll already be prepared for it.
Describe how you got into photography.
I loved (and still do) to wander around nature, exploring, photographing leaves and anything else stumbled across. Observing the little things which are so important. My wedding photography evolved from this same principal. Fleeting moments are often magical. I look out for them, always.
