What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding I photograph is special in its own way, but the most memorable one has to be when the Groom arrived on a bright orange motorbike, showcasing his love for motorbikes. I am most proud of the business that I have built from a young age. My hard work and dedication has allowed me to create a lovely network of clients, and I am proud of the work that I have done for them. Capturing precious moments that they will always treasure is what I strive to do, and I am honoured to have been a part of their lives in that way. What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I highly recommend scheduling a dedicated timeslot for photographs on your special day. While your guests are enjoying their drinks and each other's company, take a moment for yourselves to capture the love and joy you share as a couple. I will work with you every step of the way to ensure your photographs are stunning and timeless.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
As a photographer, I've seen many amazing personal touches at weddings, but one that stands out to me is a themed cake. I was lucky enough to capture a couple's Halloween-themed wedding where their cake was a stunning Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein creation. It was such a fun and unique touch, and truly embodied the couple's personality. At The Look Photography, I aim to capture all the special details that make your wedding day uniquely your own.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The booking process is simple and straightforward. After an initial consultation online, I will send over an email confirming your wedding details, package and deposit amount.
A small non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. You will receive an invoice receipt after paying the deposit.
You will also have a consultation with myself before your big day to go over your wedding plans in more detail.
The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
As a professional photographer, I believe that there is one photo that every couple should take to capture the moment of pure love and joy. That photo is 'The Look.' It's a photo of you and your partner looking into each other's eyes, cherishing the moment and the love that you share. This is a timeless photo that you will cherish forever.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I wasn't personally asked to do this, however one of my most original photos I have taken as a photographer was capturing a playful shot of a bridal party trying to take group photos on a windy day. The bride's veil kept smacking her groom in the face, but instead of getting frustrated, they laughed and had fun with it. I captured this moment of joy and spontaneity, and it remains one of my favourites.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Rain on your wedding day? No problem! At The Look Photography, I provide a large clear umbrella for the couple to use. This not only ensures that you stay dry, but also creates a stunning and unique photo opportunity. Don't let the rain ruin your special day - embrace it and create beautiful memories that you'll cherish forever.
Describe how you got into photography.
I first discovered my love for photography when I was gifted a used camera. That camera sparked a passion in me that has lasted to this day. After studying photography, I began shooting weddings and other events professionally. I believe that capturing life through my lens is my true calling.
