Fun, vibrant, creative, unique, FUN!
I’m most proud of the way I connect with couples. People often tell me I feel more like a friend than just their photographer, and that makes the photos more natural and meaningful. Couples trust me with one of the biggest days of their lives. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about helping them feel comfortable so their personalities shine through.
My number one tip is to focus on what matters most to you both, not what you think you’re ‘supposed’ to do. The day will fly by, so make sure it reflects you and not anyone else’s expectations.
One of my favourites was when a couple wrote personal letters to every guest and left them at their place settings. It was such a touching way to make everyone feel included and appreciated.
I like to keep things simple and relaxed. We’ll usually start with a chat—either over coffee or on a call—so I can get to know you and what matters most about your day. From there, I’ll guide you through the booking and planning, and I’m always on hand for questions. On the day itself, I blend in so you can just enjoy yourselves, stepping in with a bit of direction only when it’s helpful. Afterwards, I edit everything carefully and deliver your gallery in a way that tells the story of your day from start to finish.
The one photo I think every couple should have is a moment just the two of you, away from the buzz of the day. It doesn’t need to be posed—just you walking, chatting, or laughing together. Those shots always capture the real emotions.
So many to mention. From a bride receiving a real live Highland Cow with bows as a gift from the groom to the groom hanging upside down on a gate kissing his bride!
Rainy weddings aren’t a problem—they can actually make for some of the coolest shots. I always suggest having a few covered spots for portraits and grabbing a pair of funky wellies and a couple of fun umbrellas and make the most of it!
I got into photography so I could get paid to sneakily capture people being ridiculously happy—and call it work!
