A wedding I shot in Brighton. My bride decided to walk from the listed building she was getting ready in, all the way down the seafront to the Town Hall. Some fantastic images were captured during this special time with her bridesmaids and parents before she saw her husband to be.
Vivid, Bold, Reportage, Emotional, Fun
That I got the courage to do this for my two sons.
Meet your photographers in person and choose someone who feel could become a long term buddy :)
Groom turned a side room into a full on pub. He spent a year collecting different glasses, beer mats etc. Pure dedication.
Initial consultation, email communication, paperwork, create a photography itinerary and aim to meet the couple again to go over details and find out all the good stuff about their day before anyone else :)
There are so many but recently a lot of couples have spoken of how they are not hugely interested in couple shots however I encourage my couples that even thought they feel they may find the process uncomfortable, the time that they can spend together with their photographer away from everyone (even if its only 10 minutes) is so important to catch your breath and just be with each other briefly. Also those images will be reflected on by their friends and family for generations to come.
A clear umbrella and the confidence to go out and embrace our temperamental weather.
I first discovered an interest at college and then went on to study photography at University in 1999. My photographic style comes from an interest I had in my twenties of street and documentary photography. I captured most of my imagery on film through analogue and polaroid cameras made famous by the Lomography movement. Therefore my style of wedding and family photography is occasionally posed, where required, however the majority of my photography is impulsive and documentary in style, aiming to record all those elements on the day that are fleeting. I will capture all the details, quirks and interactions that are completely individual to you, your day and your family.
