From the moment we met Tara, we were totally inspired by her fresh approach to photography and how she planned shooting our special day. The pre-shoot photo book for our guests to sign was a touch of genius. Tara is fun, relaxed but on it! The end product is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, and far exceeded our expectations. Tara of course can do the formal family shots if that’s your bag, but she comes to life with the informal, impromptu, capture the moment photos that leaves you a gasp.

We cannot recommend Tara enough. She joined us for our small wedding party & fitted straight in. She helped to put all of the wedding party at ease & captured the most beautiful pictures.

Tara was incredible! the perfect choice for us.. She saved the day as we were let down by another photographer and was there and went above and beyond the whole journey! Trustworthy, answered all my questions, replied to every message. Felt instantly part of the family and joined in a captured natural and many beautiful moments. Every Bride and Groom has a magical wedding day but to capture those magical moments you need to find someone really special. We found Tara Gillen Photography via Facebook. She had several bride’s recommendations so we got in touch with her and boy are we glad we did. From the start Tara listened to what we wanted and she just ‘got it’. We didn’t want to have lots of formality - we are rock lovers and wanted everyone to feel relaxed and party and Tara knew exactly what we meant. The pre wedding photo shoot idea worked perfectly for us as neither of us are used to having our picture taken. Tara found the perfect location and once we saw the pictures we knew our wedding would be captured just how we envisaged. The wedding itself was as magical as we hoped it would be. Tara managed to be part of our day rather than be a ‘photographer’. She captured everything including the special people we had asked her to try and focus on and she joined in wearing the rock wigs and glasses etc and as a result she managed to capture our guests having fun and we have been able to look at the pictures that followed and feel as though we didn’t miss what was going on around us (as we couldn’t be in more than one place at a time). The words here won’t ever capture the magical talent of Tara but we have our photo’s to remember and treasure our magical day and when a photographer brings tears to the eyes of our guests as much as she did to us we know how lucky we were to find her.

Tara made our wedding day so amazing by taking the most incredible photos, at some points we forgot she was there. She so professional, all the attention to detail, the small things that were captured that you forget about. Not only was she great fun to be around, she also makes you feel so relaxed and just to enjoy your day. We would highly recommend Tara with gold stars and a cherry on top!!

Tara was such fun to work with for our Wedding Day. She completely understood the relaxed way in which we wanted photos taken and she made everything easy. She captured so many small details throughout the day that we missed in all the fun. We wouldn't have wanted anyone else there with us to quietly and in such a relaxed way capture the heart and soul of our wonderful day.
