Sylvia Patchell Photography Full Description
I am a story teller. Every detail, emotion, special moments between moments, your guests, friends, your family - they all tell the story of your wedding day. I capture that story so those who aren't present on your day, perhaps your children yet to be born, can relive your day as it's happened.  I want my photos to transport them back in time to feel and experience all that was special to you. I tell the story of your day in natural and unobtrusive way. I achieve this by both anticipating the moment and encouraging the moment to happen. Without over posing and taking you away from the party for hours, I have proactive approach to the wedding, which will provide you with beautiful and meaningful coverage of your special day.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

My most memorable wedding session was my very first one, back in 2007. It was on the 15th of February and the day after the wedding. Bride and Groom where determined to have theirs photos taken despite freezing cold and tiredness of their big day. I barely could feel my feet from the snow but wouldn't dare to complain in front of Eva, the Bride, who was bravely wearing her open toe stilettos. We had such a great fun coming up with photo ideas, Eva even got to change a tyre!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed, natural, fresh, modern, contemporary

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Remember to find time to enjoy yourself on your wedding day.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love it when the couple asks for a photo with their pet. Pets are our family members but are rarely present on this very special day. If I can accommodate a shot of a couple with their dog or a dragon, I'm always happy to do it.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A bride changing flat tyre whilst her groom stands nearby watching.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Embrace the rain. Rain surely makes it difficult to enjoy wonderful outdoors, but should never stop you from enjoying the day. I love experimenting with creative use of flash and backlit photos in the rain can bring you a stunning portrait.
