What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
There is always such a long list of things to plan! Try to focus first on the main aspects of the day that are most important to you both. With these in place, the smaller details and minutiae will (hopefully) feel more manageable.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I always like to meet the couple before the wedding. Preferably this takes place at their home or a place they feel completely comfortable. We talk through all aspects of the day and how I work. On the day itself, I (and my second shooter Steph) aim to be as friendly and unobtrusive as possible.
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Most couples don't like idea of the first dance... but it makes for great photos!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Nothing can be planned perfectly so when it comes to the day itself, try to let go and enjoy your day to the fullest. Come rain or shine, at the end of the day you will be married!
Describe how you got into photography.
I have loved photography for as long as I can remember and over the years I have realised that taking pictures of people is what I most enjoy. I love shooting weddings as the emotions of the day are palpable… they leap through the lens onto the photo!
