If you’re planning your wedding in the UK and want a photographer who truly understands the magic of your day, Story Of The Day is here to help. Based in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, this wedding photographer loves traveling across the UK to capture your celebration in stunning locations. Couples appreciate the relaxed yet professional vibe, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from your very first conversation.
Story Of The Day focuses on telling your wedding story through genuine, natural photos. Instead of stiff poses, expect candid moments that show real emotions and the unique personality of you and your guests. This documentary-style approach means every smile, tear, and detail is captured beautifully—giving you memories you’ll treasure forever.
Every wedding is one-of-a-kind, and Story Of The Day treats it that way by taking on only a limited number of weddings each year. This ensures you get dedicated attention and a personalized experience. Here’s what’s included in the comprehensive wedding package:
The first one I shot, it opened a whole new adventure for me and I made some great new friends I still keep in contact with now.
Honest, Fun, Relaxed, Fearless, Crazy
Building new skills every year, and expanding little by little
Write lists, lots of lists...
Personal gifts on the wedding morning from the bride or groom to each other
Meet up or chat, discuss the day, the timeline and all the details. I always try to help the wedding run a smooth as possible for the bride & groom, so they can enjoy the experience, whilst I worry about the things I already know they want.
I aim to stay for the entire event, I don't leave till I have everything, including the 1st dance and cake cutting.
I will usually prepare a "sneak Peek" gallery on the couples personal wedding web page I build for each event within 48 hours, before proving a full edited gallery within 4/6 weeks, available for everyone to enjoy, along with any video footage.
A lovely couple portrait, the one that will go on the wall forever, the one the grandchildren will enjoy
The bride and her horses
Take fun pictures outside in the rain, find somewhere inside that could be used as a mini studio, wait for a break in the rain and shoot some dramatic shots with the clouds.
Shooting bands and live shows I was working at for 10 years before becoming a parent, then taking thousands of pictures of my growing family, leading to a full time hobby, then learning and eventually starting a business.
