Located in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside, Still Light Photography is led by Kate, a passionate wedding photographer with over 15 years of experience. She specializes in capturing the real, heartfelt moments that make your wedding day truly unique. Kate’s approach focuses on natural, storytelling images that preserve the genuine emotions and memories you’ll cherish forever.
We know that being in front of the camera can feel a bit overwhelming. That’s why Kate creates a relaxed, fun atmosphere where you and your loved ones can be yourselves. Couples often say she feels more like a trusted friend than a photographer, blending seamlessly into the day. From calming nerves to helping with little details—like adjusting a dress or making the kids smile—Kate’s warm and approachable style helps your true emotions shine through every photo.
Still Light Photography combines candid moments with beautifully composed portraits to tell your wedding story in a way that feels authentic and timeless. With over 400 weddings captured, Kate has honed a signature style that balances natural storytelling with creative use of light and angles, delivering those unforgettable “wow” shots. Her philosophy is simple: great wedding photography is about building trust and capturing real emotions, not just taking pictures.
It's so difficult to choose as every wedding story is so different - we adore every wedding we take part in!
Fun, professional, creative, storytelling, authentic
The amazing feedback we get from our couples always makes me super happy and proud, even after 12 years!
Do it your way and don't be awayed by what other people are doing or say you should do.
I love it when brides have tokens on their dresses or flowers with lvoed ones who can't be there, so they're with the bride as she walks down the aisle.
We'll have a chat in person or over Zoom initially to get to know each other, after which the booking process is easily completed online with a digital contract and booking fee. An engagement session takes place, if booked, usually 4-6 months before the wedding date. We'll then have a final planning meeting 1 month before to agree timings, group photos and any other details
After the wedding, I'll send you some sneaky previews the next day, followed by an in-person gallery reveal with a slideshow to music, prosecco and popcorn 4-6 weeks later! You'll relive your day on the big screen before choosing the perfect style and colours for your wedding album.
I think everyone has their own view on what's most important to them, but for me the emotional moments are the best; the first time Dad sees his daughter in her dress and that first look at the end of the aisle. The best photos are ones that make us laugh, cry and re-live the moment.
It has to be the shot of the wand duel at a Harry Potter themed wedding we did a few years ago. We Photoshopped in the light trails for extra drama!
Embrace it! We can get amazing shots out in the rain with creative lighting and it makes for a great atmosphere. At the end of the way, we can;t control the weather so we make the best of it instead :)
I don't really remember NOT being into photography! My Mum bought me a polaroid camera when I was little and I was hooked. The idea of freezing a moment always fascinated me and I still love it now.
