What is your most memorable wedding?
Well that would have to be my own of course!!! I love every wedding i shoot, each is uniquely wonderful & special in it's own way.
One of my most memorable Weddings was at The Mythe Barn in Atherstone, such a stunning venue, a beautiful young couple, we had fantastic weather, the couple had amazing family and friends. It was one of those weddings where everything just came together and we achieved so many stunning images. I have since photographed the weddings of four other couples who attended that same wedding!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, Documentary, Fun, Creative, Professional.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Simply the fact i earn my living taking pictures and being part of so many special occasions. I love my job immensely.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always employ a Professional, Experienced, Creative Photographer.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
In a nutshell my approach is to make the process as relaxe, simple and enjoyable for the couple as possible. The initial consultation (chat over coffee) at the studio allows couples to see where i work, may sample albums and to get to know each other is of great importance. I would then hold a final details meeting or pre wedding portrait shoot nearer the big day to go over timings and logistics for the day. The after wedding service equally as important and i have some great workflows inplace to ensure wedding album selections, design and turnaround of all package particulars are fulfilled in a timely and professional manner.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I always try at every wedding to capture something creative, intimate and special, later on in the wedding day, i love to shoot in low light, i use many different lighting devices and techniques to produce some unique and breathtaking imagery of each couple. A real feature image they'd be proud to frame and display.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
One of my best wedding images was taken on a day on which it rainy torrentially all day. I recommend we go with it, get outside with brollies and wellies and get creative!
