One of my best friends’ weddings. It was December, there were Christmas trees and lights everywhere. It was a beautiful day! I was obsessed with the love in the room. Every single one of the guests were smiling from start to finish. It was the perfect wedding for the most wonderful couple.
Fun, classic, modern, candid, emotional
How far I’ve grown as a photographer since starting weddings, my images reflect the love and joy in the room!
Relax! Breathe! Take a minute! You don’t need to rush, just take your time. The day will be perfect even if you’re cousin isn’t really a fan of your starter. Its your day, your way! Good Luck!
A cute little guestbook - well not little, and not a book. It was a HUGE canvas with a map of the UK, and it showed a heart where he was born, and a heart where she was born, and each heart was connected with little footsteps and signposts of their milestones (like the birth of their baby, where they got engaged etc). The guests all grabbed a sharpie and doodled on the outside. So original!
First point of contact is via email, to get the ball rolling. Then a phonecall, meet, Skype or Facetime to get to know one another. Then we discuss what you’d like from your photographer, and if theres any shots you NEED. Then, if you’d like me to come visit your venue with you I can, or I can go take a look on my own to scout out locations we could get some great photos for! Then I get you to nominate a bridesmaid/groomsman to help me organise your group shots on the day (usually the loudest of your group!) Once your shooting is done, editing will begin and you’ll receive some samples through email, then once completed you receive them all on your USB.
A candid shot of the happy couple just taking it all in before the party starts!
A group shot of the groom and all the groomsmen with their suits snd shirts open, with their football team shirts underneath. The bride was amazed they’d organised something so brilliant without her input.
Embrace the rain! Rain on a lens is one of the most beautiful and orignal ‘filters’. Whip out a brolly and we can get some cosy couple shots.
I studied Art & Design at College, and never really got into the course, until one day I was stood in the dark room of the Photography department, trying to get film on a reel in pitch black; and I thought to myself this is my thing, my zen. My love for photography has grown and grown since then! But, its my trusty DSLR that gets brought to weddings, not my vintage film cameras! Just to make sure we get the shots!
