SMD Wedding Photography

We recently had Mitch as both our photographer and venue stylist at Mythe Barn. He was fabulous, from the moment he arrived to the moment that he left and even way before that. I could tell from initial contact that Mitch had attention to detail and was going to be so valuable to our wedding day. He spent lots of time discussing options for how we wanted the venue styling. He got my vision, simple but elegant as I didn’t want to take the charm away from our barn venue. He made our venue look so beautiful. And as for when he switched to photographer mode, well… he exceeded expectations and definitely went above and beyond. From just putting us all so at ease, guiding us through the important moments, his wit and humour and all his help with my wedding dress and keeping me calm with the stress it was giving me. He played many more roles on the day, not just photographer and stylist. He truly was amazing. I honestly couldn’t have wished for anyone better. Mitch, along with our wedding coordinator is what made our day so effortless and seamless. We also had the Photo Booth, this was such a great addition and was a huge hit 👌. We cannot wait to see our photos ❤️ Highly, highly recommend (and already have 🙂).

From the very beginning of our wedding journey, choosing the right photographer and videographer felt like one of the most important decisions we would make—and we could not have chosen better than Mitch and Sarah. Simply put, they were absolutely incredible, and we feel so lucky to have had them as such a big part of our special day. He had this amazing ability to blend into the background while still capturing every important detail: the excitement while getting ready, the emotion during the ceremony, the laughter during the speeches, and the joy on the dance floor. Looking through our photos now, it genuinely feels like we are reliving the entire day from start to finish. Every glance, every smile, every tear—it’s all there, beautifully preserved. Sarah, who handled our videography, was just as exceptional. She worked so seamlessly alongside Mitch that it felt like they were completely in sync the entire time. Her calm and reassuring presence added so much to the day, and we barely noticed the cameras—which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to stay present and soak everything in. The video Sarah created for us is nothing short of breathtaking. She didn’t just document the day—she told our story. From the music choices to the way she edited together key moments, everything felt deeply personal and emotional. Watching it back brought happy tears all over again. It captured not just what happened, but how it felt to be there, surrounded by the people we love. What really stood out to us about Mitch and Sarah was how genuinely invested they were in making our day special. They weren’t just there to do a job—they cared. They took the time to understand us as a couple, what mattered most to us, and the kind of memories we wanted to hold onto. That level of care and attention made such a difference, and it shows in the final results. They were also incredibly organised and professional throughout the entire process. Communication was always clear and prompt, and they helped everything run smoothly on the day without ever being overbearing. They struck the perfect balance between being supportive and letting us enjoy every moment naturally. Another thing we really appreciated was how well they worked with our guests. So many people commented on how lovely and approachable they both were. They made everyone feel comfortable, which really comes across in the photos and video—nothing feels forced or staged, just real, joyful moments shared with the people who mean the most to us. Now that we’ve received our full gallery and wedding film, we are honestly blown away. The quality, the attention to detail, and the storytelling are beyond anything we could have imagined. These aren’t just photos and a video—they are memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives and share with family for generations to come. Mitch was photographer at our wedding in beginning of march, and we also booked his photobooth and singing waiter services. The photobooth was great to get pictures sent instantly to our phones, and the singing waiter was a super fun gear shift to party mode - everyone got involved waving their napkins. Not only that, Mitch was an incredible support and fitted into the wedding day itself so well. We've already had so many comments about how Mitch was so lovely and many thought he was part of the wedding guests! A testiment to how well Mitch got along with everyone and blended in. Mitch also made both me and my partner (who are awkward at best Infront of the camera!) feel at ease during the group and couple photos. Thank you for everything you did for us on our wedding day. We are looking forward to getting the pictures back and reliving the day

From the moment Mitch arrived at my house very early in the morning he helped put me at ease, as a veteran wedding goer he talked me through ceremony things that I was nervous about so I felt at ease. The photos taken are beautiful and I absolutely treasure them, plus he got them back to me within a week! I cannot recommend smd wedding photography enough. Worth every penny

Wow what can I say about SMD photography. From our first meeting Mitch filled us with nothing but confidence that he was on the same page as us. We had a photoshoot beforehand where Mitch really engaged with the children so on the day there would be less nerves for them. Mitch not only captured every single moment perfectly but each picture shows our character and we can retell stories from each picture. Mitch organised our guests to capture the perfect shots in the most perfect locations around the venue. Being an outdoor winter wedding on December 23rd Mitch made sure the flow of the day ensured quests were entertained and not standing around cold. I cannot recommend him enough 100%

What a fun-loving, friendly and all around fantastic photographer. Not only did he capture some incredible photos, but he also captured the hearts of all our guests who complimented him and his wife Sarah countless amount of times throughout the evening. He was incredibly flexible and understanding on last minute photo requests which is handy for someone with ADHD (us) who forgets everything...including names ("Sam"). Could not recommend more! ❤️

I can not recommend Mitch and Sarah enough!! From the moment they arrived they were so calming and really easy to talk to not to mention helping with little things like our boys ties! They were such a breath of fresh air and they also take their time and it’s not like a couple of photos and done they really make sure you’ve got plenty! The photo booth was such a laugh as well took that serious element of the photos away, again can not thank these both enough, gave us memories to last a life time ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Your search for a wedding photographer and videographer honestly doesn’t need to go any further. Mitch and Sara are incredible. We have so many beautiful photos and videos from our day, but what really stood out was how much of a positive presence they were from start to finish. Every single guest commented on how amazing they both were. They went way above and beyond what you’d ever expect from a photographer and videographer. The morning of the wedding was a bit stressful and I was already getting ready when they arrived. I’d never met either of them before, but the minute they walked in their energy was instantly calming. Mitch asked if anything needed doing and, after my venue upset me by refusing to move some unnecessary chairs, he took it upon himself to sort it. Ten minutes later, he was back telling me it was done. No fuss. No stress. He took the buttonholes to the groomsmen, supported me throughout the day, and genuinely kept everything running smoothly. I’m so grateful that we chose them. I cannot thank them enough. They’re not only brilliant at what they do, they’re truly beautiful people. Thank you both. And if you’re thinking about booking them, don’t hesitate for a second. You absolutely will not be disappointed

We used Mitch and Sarah after posting a photo of their blossom tree centre pieces on a facebook wedding group page. Mitch messaged us and said he was available to do the decor for us on that day and also asked if we had photography booked. He did us a FANTASTIC deal for both the venue dressing and the photography. The attention to detail for both the photos and the decor was second-to-none. The amount of photos taken for just one single pose is insane, it must have easily been 20/25 shots at a time! (I don’t envy himself or Sarah fine tuning them!) All the extra little bits they both did just made everything perfect! We couldn’t have chosen a better venue dresser/photographer! Nothing was ever too much of an ask for themselves!
