What is your most memorable wedding?
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing so many amazing weddings, and they’re all memorable in their own way. My favourites are when couples just relax, enjoy their day and have fun! One wedding I shot this year had a white bouncy castle and while all the guests were inside the reception room the bride and groom snuck out to have a little bounce!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, relaxed, romantic, emotive, and timeless
What about your business are you most proud of?
I’m proud that I worked so hard to make my dream job a reality! It also makes me proud when I receive feedback from clients telling me how happy they are with their wedding photographs.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy every moment and remember it’s all about you!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
There was one wedding where every single supplier was a friend of the couple: the makeup artist, the florist, the cake, the bands.
The couple met when they joined the same choir at 12 years old and so they had a choir (which was all their friends) sing during the ceremony. They also had multiple friends that were musicians so about three different bands played throughout the course of the day. It made the day so personal to them and every single guest was so involved with the wedding. It was so much fun!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After you enquire I usually suggest we jump on a zoom call so that you can tell me all about your wedding plans and for you to see whether I am the right photographer for you! I will complete a wedding planner closer to your wedding with the timings of the day and what shots are most important to you. I will also view the venue prior to your wedding day, which you are more than welcome to join me on to give us a chance to meet in person prior to your big day. I am available for my couples throughout the whole process from when you enquire to after your wedding gallery has been delivered. So if you need any advice or have any questions you can send me an email, WhatsApp, or book in a zoom call.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Providing the weather allows it… golden hour photos!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Earlier this year it was important to one of my couples that I photograph a Persian tradition they had during their ceremony. The bride and groom each dip a pinky into a cup of honey and feed it to each other. This symbolises the idea that the couple will feed each other sweetness as they begin their lives as one.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas! Rainy day photos can actually be so much fun and don’t worry I’ll still find the perfect place for your wedding portraits, they don’t have to be outside!
Describe how you got into photography.
Before becoming a wedding photographer I had years of working in Customer Service. While I loved working with people, the job became repetitive and didn’t allow me to be creative. I have always loved photography but it wasn’t until I was planning my own wedding that I thought about doing wedding photography as a career. I started with doing friends weddings and events and then eventually completed a wedding photography training course where I learnt from award-winning photographers with years of experience.
