All of the weddings I have shot are memorable in their own way - no two days are the same so its always really exciting to see what decor couples go for, what entertainment they have, and of course, once the dance floor opens, the fun begins! But, if I had to choose, I would say one of the more recent weddings I did for a lovely couple who had a dress code of Hawaiian shirts. The day itself was beautifully sunny, and the atmosphere was just amazing. I also shot a wedding where a human pyramid was spontaneously made on the dance floor, with the bride perched at the top!
Natural, fun, timeless, vivid and creative.
I am proud of the entirety of my business, but I think hearing couples feedback and lovely reviews makes me the proudest
It's your day, and you will only do it once - so don't compromise, or worry about what others think.
I did a wedding where the bride had planned a dance with her father, to a song that was sentimental to both of them. But, she had gone to a recording studio and sung the song herself. When her dad heard this, for the first time, during this moment, the emotion on the dance floor was so moving. Definitely wasn't tearing up - I promise!
I always like to arrange a face to face meet up to discuss both the couples expectations and go through a rough 'plan' of action. It helps everyone put a face to a name, sets expectations from the get go, and helps me to understand the 'must haves' for you personally. On the day of the wedding, I am on hand prior to the designated shooting time to help with any last minute touches, wether it be helping load items into the venue, or helping you with your veil before you walk down the isle.
Once the day is done, the editing process starts - this typically takes between 2-3 weeks, with a preview gallery sent out within 7 days, and then, at last, the photographs are yours to cherish forever.
Don't worry too much if it's forecast to rain - I always keep an eye on the forecast leading up to the day. Rain can lead to some glorious and original photographs too! The thing to bear in mind is it is very rare that it rains heavily and constantly all day, so I'll be on hand with scheduled dry spells to get outside if you want to. And of course, your venue was probably the most expensive part of the wedding process, so it would be rude not to utilise the space within the venue for some lovely shots!
I studied photography, media, visual communication and art for several years. I have worked with various different mediums, such as portraiture, commercial photography, family photography and events to name a few. The thing that drew me to weddings specifically is people - I am a such a people person and I love the characters, the positivity and the conversations that wedding photography brings. No two days are the same and I love it!
