This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
If this is your first professional photoshoot, don’t worry — most couples I work with haven’t been photographed before. I’ll guide you when needed, keep things relaxed, and focus on natural moments rather than stiff posing. There’s no expectation to “perform” for the camera. My approach is calm, documentary-led, and designed to make you feel comfortable from the start.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages?
Travel within Birmingham and the surrounding areas is typically included. For weddings elsewhere in the UK or destination coverage, travel is quoted clearly in advance, so there are no surprises. Everything is discussed during your consultation call and confirmed before booking.
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
Bad weather happens, especially in the UK, and it’s never a problem. I plan with flexibility in mind and will adapt locations, timings, or approaches if needed. Overcast skies often photograph beautifully, and light rain rarely stops us from creating strong, natural images. If conditions change, we adjust — calmly.
Can you recommend any good locations?
Yes. I regularly recommend and photograph at a range of wedding venues and locations across Birmingham and the UK, from city registry offices to countryside estates. During planning, I’ll suggest locations that suit your timeline, lighting, and overall feel of the day, whether that’s something iconic or more low-key and intimate.
When do we get our photos back?
Typically, the process can range from 4 to 12 weeks. This will be discussed in your initial call.
Do you help with posing
Yes. My approach is editorial, which means I actively guide you to create clean, modern, and flattering images while still keeping everything natural. I’ll direct posture, positioning, and small adjustments so you look your best without it ever feeling forced. Most couples tell me they were worried about posing beforehand, but quickly felt comfortable once they realised how relaxed and straightforward the process is.
How many photos will we receive?
These are outlined in your package and/or phone call. Typically packages contain 200 to upto 400 edited photos per wedding day
How will our photos be delivered?
Your photos are delivered via a private online gallery, where you can view, download, and share everything easily. The gallery works across mobile and desktop and allows you to access your images at any time. Files are delivered in full resolution and ready for both printing and sharing.
What happens if you’re unable to attend on the day?
In the unlikely event of illness or emergency, I have access to a trusted network of professional photographers who work at a similar standard and style. Your wedding would never be left uncovered. This ensures continuity and peace of mind while maintaining the level of quality you expect.
