Im Sarah , A UK wedding photographer for couples who want authentic moments and Iconic portraits. My signature style attracts couples looking for modern imagery that carries a documentary and authentic feel.
I have been capturing love stories for 10 years now and I still get excited for every single wedding. After capturing weddings for this long I have learned that my role far surpasses that of a photographer.
I have been fortunate to document the stories of couples in the UK and abroad. In my personal life I am an avid reader, love to travel and enjoy a good glass of wine.
I bring a laid back unobtrusive approach on the day. I am 90% focused on capturing beautiful candids and 10% on Iconic Portraits and Family shots. I aim to infuse my love for keeping it natural, with your love for each other, bringing out the best of your own personalities. I want you to have fun. I want you to embrace the day and be present with each other and your guests. Ignoring me is the best gift you could give me. I’m used to it and I love it.
I believe that an accomplished image should stir an emotional response in the viewer. I primarily draw inspiration from my subject, However there will always be influences from my travels, fashion and art.
I have a background in live events and production, I throughly enjoy the hustle of a wedding day.
My client’s journey is as important as the final gallery. I will work with you, and stand by you, providing guidance and support from the very first message. I offer pre wedding shoots as a way of getting to know the real you. This provides a strong foundation to build on, come wedding day.
I want your images to mean as much to you in 10 and 20 years as they do the day you receive them.
Wow I have a few. A Scottish castle winter wedding where it snowed and looked a lot like we stepped in to Narnia, A celebrity wedding where I was making cocktails with some very famous faces and my husband was dancing with his school boy celebrity crush and a Festival wedding where there was a rave until the early hours and I got to stay and party with my couple!
Documentary, candid, vivid, fun and elegant
Being shortlisted out of 15000 photographers to get to top 10 in British Photography awards and being invited to the Dorchester for a black tie event to celebrate, that was so much fun. Also being published numerous times in my favourite wedding magazine, oh and being on TV. That was hilarious!
Book the suppliers you instantly fall in love with. You deserve this!
oh and on the day..Eat breakfast! don't go sipping champagne on an empty stomach. I had a beautiful bride spend her reception hugging the toilet as she didn't eat all day. She missed her own party.
My favourite has to be the brides bouquet having family photos tucked in to the flowers. It was so special.
My typical process before the wedding is emails to say HELLO! Then phone calls make sure we both know what we are aiming for, get booked in, Sign contract and pay deposit and fill out a pretty cool questionnaire to find out loads about each other, go for a pre wedding shoot or at least a walk and a coffee so we are not strangers on the day. At the wedding I pretty much get ignored all day an I love it. I blend in and document your day as it happens. No awkward posing. Raw emotions, happy tears, ugly crying faces, belly laughing and everything in between
I do tend to let each couple make their own magic when it comes to photos. I am a collector or authentic moments from your love story. It's all candid. Walking and giggling are prob my favourite.
I had 4 groomsmen get naked once, not sure its original but it was pretty random for the fancy venue we were at. And it was cold so you can take from that what you will!
Go with it. We are not made of sugar we will get epic photos come rain or shine. If you are really worried, speak to your venue and make sure you have a rainy day plan. This will but your mind at ease. We can run out for photos when it stops raining.
I was a model back when I was younger. I had always loved photography and eventually the other side of the camera was way more interesting. I used to co own a family photography studio until weddings became more and more popular. Now I can't imaging ever doing anything else. I am literally living the dream. I have the best job in the world (other than professional puppy stroker or holiday tester).
