What is your most memorable wedding?
Wow I have a few. A Scottish castle winter wedding where it snowed and looked a lot like we stepped in to Narnia, A celebrity wedding where I was making cocktails with some very famous faces and my husband was dancing with his school boy celebrity crush and a Festival wedding where there was a rave until the early hours and I got to stay and party with my couple!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Documentary, candid, vivid, fun and elegant
What about your business are you most proud of?
Being shortlisted out of 15000 photographers to get to top 10 in British Photography awards and being invited to the Dorchester for a black tie event to celebrate, that was so much fun. Also being published numerous times in my favourite wedding magazine, oh and being on TV. That was hilarious!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book the suppliers you instantly fall in love with. You deserve this!
oh and on the day..Eat breakfast! don't go sipping champagne on an empty stomach. I had a beautiful bride spend her reception hugging the toilet as she didn't eat all day. She missed her own party.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My favourite has to be the brides bouquet having family photos tucked in to the flowers. It was so special.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My typical process before the wedding is emails to say HELLO! Then phone calls make sure we both know what we are aiming for, get booked in, Sign contract and pay deposit and fill out a pretty cool questionnaire to find out loads about each other, go for a pre wedding shoot or at least a walk and a coffee so we are not strangers on the day. At the wedding I pretty much get ignored all day an I love it. I blend in and document your day as it happens. No awkward posing. Raw emotions, happy tears, ugly crying faces, belly laughing and everything in between
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I do tend to let each couple make their own magic when it comes to photos. I am a collector or authentic moments from your love story. It's all candid. Walking and giggling are prob my favourite.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I had 4 groomsmen get naked once, not sure its original but it was pretty random for the fancy venue we were at. And it was cold so you can take from that what you will!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Go with it. We are not made of sugar we will get epic photos come rain or shine. If you are really worried, speak to your venue and make sure you have a rainy day plan. This will but your mind at ease. We can run out for photos when it stops raining.
Describe how you got into photography.
I was a model back when I was younger. I had always loved photography and eventually the other side of the camera was way more interesting. I used to co own a family photography studio until weddings became more and more popular. Now I can't imaging ever doing anything else. I am literally living the dream. I have the best job in the world (other than professional puppy stroker or holiday tester).
