What is your most memorable wedding?
An incredible multiple day celebration split between Singapore and Goodwood House!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Authentic. Emotive. Romantic. Clean. Bold.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Seeing my business grow and my services become sought after has been incredible. I'm not sure many people set out to be a wedding photographer but there's no job I'd rather do!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take your time but make decisions. Its easy to feel pressured by suppliers so always sleep on any big decisions but try not to put off making them as the options are endless!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Personalised venue lighting is always pretty cool, it's one of those often forgotten elements that looks epic in photos!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Its really all about getting to know each other. Wedding days vary so much and I'm experienced enough now to feel comfortable in any situation. What's really important is that the couples trust me and I feel comfortable getting as close as needed to capture the moment as authentically as possible.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Isn't that my job?
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace it! You'll never forget that it was raining on your wedding day so you might as well lean into it early!
Describe how you got into photography.
I started shooting live music in 2005 while I was doing my A levels. Free gigs was enough for me but I saw my images in the pages of Kerrang Magazine and worked with a few of my favourite bands at the time (teenage angst a-plenty!)
After that I headed off to the Northern Film School to do my Bachelors degree in Film and Moving Image Production. I met my wife during our second year and spent the rest of my time bunking off to take photos.
We fell into weddings in 2010 and never looked back. Verity taking on the editing and me getting out there and taking photos!
