What is your most memorable wedding?
I shot a beautiful summer wedding at Botley's Mansion. I met the couple a few months previously for a pre wedding shoot in London, and couldn't wait for the wedding after hearing their plans- they dry hired the venue so had brought in their own caterers, with a mimosa and pan puri station during cocktail hour- and then the ultimate surprise was the choreographed Bollywood dance routine performed by the ENTIRE bridal party! It was incredible, and was followed by the busiest dance floor ever!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Elegant, candid, romantic, natural and fun.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am so proud to have documented my couples throughout the different stages of their love stories. From proposals, to engagement, weddings and then maternity and newborn shoots. It means so much to me when you return to me to capture your memories.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Focus on what is important to YOU, and not pleasing anyone else!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My absolute favourite is when your pets are featured somehow! Some of my couples bring their dogs for photos during cocktail hour which I love. At a recent wedding the venue didn't allow this, but the couple had incorporated their puppy into their wedding cake, peeking put from under the icing, which I loved so much.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I would usually send an email with my brochure and packages/prices, and then arrange a free video or phone call consultation. We would go through my style and process, your wedding plans and photography needs. If you want a pre wedding shoot, we would meet for an hour and take some lovely photos whilst getting to know each other and getting you used to being in front of the camera! A month before your wedding I will send you a wedding questionnaire to finalise details, timings and group photo lists etc- and then on to the wedding day! I will send you a sneak peek gallery the day after your wedding, and then the whole gallery 4-6 weeks after.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A kiss halfway down the confetti line!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A groom climbing down the ruins of a castle wall towards his bride!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas, good indoor lighting and a sense of adventure!! (some of the most romantic photos are taken in the rain!!)
Describe how you got into photography.
I studied film production at university and started my career in film as a director and writer. This made me very comfortable with a camera!! However, it was getting engaged and planning my own wedding that sparked my passion for wedding photography, and I have never looked back!
