Based in Cardiff, Sacha Miller is an award-winning documentary wedding photographer who specializes in capturing your wedding day exactly as it unfolds. With over 20 years of experience and a background in Fine Art, plus a career as a photojournalist for national newspapers, Sacha brings a unique artistic eye to every wedding. His approach is simple: your day should be about you and your loved ones—not the photography. This means he works quietly and unobtrusively, capturing genuine, candid moments that tell the true story of your celebration.
Sacha’s documentary style focuses on the intimate, behind-the-scenes moments that make your wedding day truly special. His goal is to create a beautiful, lasting collection of images filled with laughter, emotion, and joy—memories you’ll cherish forever. Couples often praise his ability to be discreet yet present everywhere, capturing wonderful moments without interrupting the flow of the day. This lets you relax and enjoy every second, knowing those fleeting moments are being thoughtfully preserved.
Every wedding is unique, and Sacha understands that. While his main style is documentary, he’s happy to include a few group photos of close family and friends, plus some portraits if you wish. These are done efficiently so you can spend more time celebrating with your guests. Here’s what you can expect from his service:
All weddings are memorable in some way, though the ones that stick in the mind have nothing to do the biggest fanciest venue, rather it has been about a casual fun loving atmosphere.
Emotive, authentic, natural, beautiful, understated
The vast amount of my work comes from past client referrals
Getting organised well in advance, but then totally relax on the day and let others take the strain
Each guest was greeted with a personal caricature drawing as the table favours
About from confirming the obvious logistics, there is not organising to do from my end, as I simply turn up and document what I see. Though I try to confirm if couple would like any group shots or portraits, most have a few, but tastes and request will differ
Candid images of you chatting and laughing with your guests.
One couple wanted to run into the sea in their wedding clothes on their wedding day, which sounds ok on a sunny day, of course the British summertime cannot be counted on and it was pouring with rain and the wind was howling but they still did it.
Not to worry, rain rarely last all day and anyway it does force everyone to huddle around the bar and can create a terrific part atmosphere.
