Based in the beautiful heart of Scotland, Ryan Johnston is a luxury wedding photographer who specializes in capturing your love story in the most genuine and heartfelt way. With over eight years of experience, Ryan creates elegant, high-end images that showcase the real emotions and connections of your wedding day. His focus is on those fleeting, unposed moments—a loving glance, a burst of laughter, or quiet tears during your vows—preserving them with honesty and artistic flair.
Ryan’s documentary-style photography means he blends seamlessly into your day, capturing every detail and interaction as it naturally unfolds. Whether you’re planning a grand castle wedding in the Scottish Highlands or an intimate elopement by a windswept loch, Ryan’s goal is to create a timeless collection of images that truly reflect your celebration. If you value storytelling and the beauty found in small, meaningful moments, Ryan’s expert eye ensures nothing precious goes unnoticed.
Beyond weddings, Ryan has a rich background in event and commercial photography, having worked with big names like Harry Styles, Biffy Clyro, and Travis. This diverse experience sharpens his creative vision, allowing him to bring a fresh, striking perspective to your wedding photos.

Remember it's your day, don't plan for the guests. Plan for you.
We will have a discussion over coffee or via Facetime/Phone to hear about both sides of the story and be happy with the fit. Once the deposit is paid, the date is cemented in the diary and you'll forget about me until about a month before where we shall have a catch up chat to get the finder details of your day and the final balance to be paid. After the wedding, you'll receive a few sneak peek images so that you can shout about your wedding (if you already haven't) and then 6-8 weeks later you'll receive your bespoke USB package and prints in the post.
"Can you photograph me wearing my dress in the bathtub? It's HUGE!"
Don't frown about the weather, you'll forget about it as soon as you hit the aisle.
