If you’re planning your wedding in Hampshire or nearby, Ryan Hewett is a photographer who truly understands how to capture your day naturally and beautifully. Combining a relaxed, documentary style with modern, creative portraiture, Ryan focuses on telling your unique wedding story through timeless images you’ll cherish forever.
Ryan’s calm, professional approach helps couples feel comfortable and at ease. He knows how to blend into the background, capturing genuine emotions and candid moments without interrupting the flow of your celebration. Many couples have praised his knack for being in the right place at the right time—so even the little moments you might miss are preserved perfectly.
Every wedding is different, and Ryan tailors his services to fit your needs and budget. He often starts with a pre-wedding visit to your venue to find the best spots for photos. You’ll also have a consultation before the big day to share your vision and priorities, ensuring your photos reflect what matters most to you.
I particularly enjoyed shooting a wedding in Somerset where the whole day was extremely relaxed and so much fun. The day involved a lot of hay bales, a tractor, beautiful flowers and the rolling countryside which made the most romantic setting.
Artistic, captivating, dramatic, polished stylistic.
A local venue using one of my pictures on their front cover and within their wedding brochure.
Relax, have fun and remember to take some buffet food to your room for later!
Little packets of M&M’s with the bride and grooms picture on...... sweet! No pun intended!
Once I have been booked, I like to meet my couple for a coffee to go through their plans for their day. This is also a good time to arrange engagement photos (if they are having them). I will always visit the venue at least once close to the date even if I have shot there before in case anything has changed. On the day, I like to spend the morning with the bride for preparation shots, then some of the groomsman, bride arriving, ceremony, signing the register, bride and groom leaving, then onto some details of their reception, group shots, bride and groom portraits, speeches, cutting the cake, first dance and lots and lots of candid moments in between. After their day, all images will be beautifully edited in my style and delivered on a USB stick. If my couple are having an album, once images have been selected, these are then sent away to be professionally printed and bound into a bespoke handmade fine art wedding album.
Definitely couples portraits and family portraits they are always very popular.
Just to go with it, you can’t control the weather plus it makes for some great shots!
I always had a passion for photography, so I went on to study photography at college for two years.
