It has to be Truyen & Alex's wedding that I shot in Vietnam. The whole day was filled with laughter, balloons, many choreographed dances, sparklers, fireworks and so much love. There was never a dull moment as their presence filled the space with their colourful personalities. I loved watching Truyen take over the dance floor on many occasions.
Natural, unscripted, vibrant, joyful, candid
The relationships that I get to build with couples, creating friendships and being able to provide them with memories that will make them smile.
Enjoy the process and try not to let little things stress you out too much. Everything will be perfect in its own way on the day (even if someone gets drunk and falls asleep in a bush!). As long as you're both there and present that's all that is important in end.
When we first have contact I'd love to get to know you and would encourage a face-to-face or online meet-up to see if you think we'd be a good match. Once we decide to move forward together we can have 2 or more chats about anything and everything from the order of the day to napkin preferences, I'll be here to guide you through the process with whatever you need. I'll ask you to make me a list of all the important shots that you'd like me to definitely capture on the day. This normally is any details you'd like, if you'd like couple shots, or if you just need a photo with a particular great auntie, this will be the time and place to let me know. Closer to the day we'll run through the order of the day and iron out any fears or questions that you may have. This will lead us onto the big day itself which I tend to let flow naturally without being too intrusive, but don't worry when needed I can make my voice heard as well.
A private moment together is a highlight for me. Even if you're not into the staged posed stuff I always think it's important to have a few minutes away from it all to take it all in. The day goes by so fast you'll forget to breathe.
A sense of adventure.
I was a fine art painter which led me to do an art foundation which is where I discovered my love of photography. This continued with me doing a Photography BA in Manchester. I've always been very into portraiture and after graduating I mainly focused my career in that direction, also dabbling in fashion and events along the way. In 2021 I decided to hone in on what I loved about photography which was candid and real moments, as a result, I decided to direct all of my attention to the wedding and family field where I'm happily nesting right now.
