What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding I've ever photographed has been memorable for different reasons. No 2 weddings are the same and that's what makes them so special and so much fun for me.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Fun, Relaxed, Passionate, Engaging, Creative.
What about your business are you most proud of?
After every single wedding I've ever photographed I'm always delighted to deliver a set of photos I am extremely proud of and I've always had very positive feedback. It's the feedback that makes all the hard work worthwhile.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan your wedding for YOU!! Your wedding day is about the 2 of you starting the rest of your lives together. Don't plan your wedding to keep other people happy. Make your day perfect for the way you 2 want it.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love seeing handmade details at weddings. Not only does it show an attention to detail but it gives me even more to photograph to give you memories of the little things that made your day so special.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I am a very relaxed documentary style photographer so I don't dominate your wedding day at all. I follow all the events and they pan out in front of me. I provide very little direction or instructions. You've planned your day the way you want it to happen so I go along with your plans and tell the story of your day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I provide in excess of 500 photos of a full day wedding. While some of those photos may be more important to you than others, some may remind you of the emotions more than others there is never an absolute must get photo. All the photos together tell the full story of the day from start to finish.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
As a documentary style photographer I tend to steer away from being asked to take specific photos. I prefer to capture the real events, moments and emotions of the day. Almost all of your guests will have cameras with them for the snapshot special requests. I'm there to capture the complete story.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
No one can control the British weather. Sometimes we get rain. Just keep smiling, enjoy the day, get married and be happy. Your wedding will still be amazing in the rain. I'll still provide you with an amazing set of photos in the rain.
Describe how you got into photography.
I've always had a passion for taking photos. I'm a bit of a geek so I love the technical side of photography but there is nothing better than capturing a special moment frozen in time. In 2009 I was asked to photograph a friend's wedding as a favour. I loved doing it, they loved the photos and I haven't looked back from there.
